Default I F***ing knew this would happen!

"Bellew still wants to be a hit in the cruiserweight division.

The win over Cleverly edges him closer to a shot at Germany WBO champion Marco Huck - but the Scouser only wants that fight in one venue.

He said: "I'll be totally honest my dream is Goodison Park. I've got no interest in going to Germany to face Huck. Go to Germany for what? Unless it financially benefits me."

So now because he's beaten such a beast in a "one-handed Nathan Cleverly", he's calling the shots in the division is he!!!!!!
You've already got Eddie "Everything is PPV from now on" Hearns saying "all the champions want the winner of Bellew v Cleverly!" why does he think that is? because He'll pay them a shit load of cash for an Easy nights work, that's fuckin why!
"Go to Germany for what?" To try to win a world title , that's what!
Saturday wasn't even for a British Title! fuckin ridiculous.

Bellew is talking out of his ass but you cant really blame him. That venue sold out pretty fast and he had just won.

Next we need to consider the weight class. Its a barren wasteland. Consider the rankings and where Bellew was prior to Saturday.

    WBC had him at 4
    IBF had him at 11
WBO had him at 4. Ahead of him for Huck were Glowacki, Meroro and Seferi. How many people know who those 3 are or have even heard of them?
Even Fightnews had him at 8

After Saturday he's probably moved up close to the mandatory in two Orgs.

They (ORGS) are enablers. Like the parent continuing to help their drug addicted kid by giving him/her money to live on knowing full well that he/she is not buying food or paying rent.

In the end you cant blame the guy for trying to make the best out of this.

boxing fans can be very nagative

theres no doubt that bellew is not the best fighter of all time but there have been a lot worse fighters fought for world titles

why shouldnt he aim for a world title fight at everton? he'll probably fill it and eddie hearn can probably bring a world champion of sorts over and pay him well

I want ola Afolabi to win the title and fight Bellew. Ola needs some recognition in Britain and he would get that if he wins a world title on channel 5 and defends it in the Uk vs Bellew.

    Bellew is nothing at CW.

He just beat a guy who started his career as a welterweight and he couldn't even stop him after the wav Kovalev destroyed him.

Bellew looked just as weak as Cleverly and he looked uncoordinated.

By round 8 they both looked one good punch away from sleeping.

Imagine David Haye in with either?
    Imagine Holyfield in with either?

Come on play the game, these 2 guys are below par, well marketed European level fighters.

The division is weak and he just made some noise by beating Clev whether hindsight says the Welshman was overrated or not. Not sure why Cleverly did not throw the right hand but you have to be pretty good at the pro level to stay in a fight with one hand. We all marveled at Loma when he did it Saturday against the Manny doppleganger. At least I did.

Bellew is like a Wepner or Tex Cobb in a heavyweight division with no A-listers. I can see the guy winning a title in this division and he's got that London draw.

Its funny because Cruiser is one of the expansion divisions that actually made sense and yet they went and changed it to 200 pounds in 2003. I remember at the time thinking they did it for James Toney The did it apparently to compensate for the growing heavyweight division but I'm not sure its panned out. Its created two mediocre divisions instead of one.

The whole division causes narcolepsy not just last Saturday.

I kind of like it when regular mugs like him make some good coin with all the coddling division wide going on and this tiny group of primadonnas controlling things.

Bellew should fight McKenzie again. He looks a beast at Cruiser and definitely hits harder then Bellew

I still cant believe people call the Cruiserweight division weak. IMO its stacked. Huck, as limited as he is, is extremely hard to beat, as he has showed stepping up to heavy and causing Povetkin all sorts of trouble, arguably the 2nd best heavyweight at the moment. Lebedev, Drozd, Chakhiev and Wlod are all very good fighters. Add Afolabi, Hernandez, Huck, Mchunu, Makabu and Kalenga and it makes a very decent division. Also a lot of good prospects in there with guys like Usyk and Kudryashov. Probably my favorite weight class to watch.
