Default Boxing fans are stupid and fussy!

That includes all of us here, including me.

On the one hand, when a top fighter or prospect goes the distance for the first time, we say he is a hype job and not a legit. Take a look when Thurman went the distance with Bundu.

But, on the other hand, when a top fighter knocks out virtually all of his opponents and 10 of his last 10, we say he is ducking real competition and fighting bums. Take a look at GGG and his ko streak, that is still alive.

    We are fussy and silly!

    Allow me to gloat.

Most of my posts here don't ride fighters for not moving up in weight. I say fight where you are comfortable.

Whereas so many fans, not just here complain, but everywhere seems to think: if a guy fights at one weight, then he aint shit.

why wont he move up and fight so and so, ..But if everbody is moving up...where is the stability in any weight class?

130...he should move up to 135 and take on that (1) guy there.
That guy at 135 knows he cant make weight so he's scurred to fight at 140.
...damn why don't that chicken shit 140lber move up to 147?

    154 damn...why don't he fight a MW if he's so good.
160...I mean for fucks sake, why cant he fight at 168 where the talent is at.

    At HW:
Wilder gr8 example- he aint shit Stiverne is gonna school him. stivern loses, well ya see Stiverne was placed in a training camp next to old country buffet, down the street from In In out Burger trying to go jungle fever with Valerie Bertanelii who kept egging him on for one more wonder burger. And next door was Kentucky Fried Chicken and they had that 8 piece meal deal...
Wilder gets clocked by a journeyman first defence..even though he stopped him: he was exposed. OK, whatever.
Find those who said it and a good chance they defend Wladimir, what irony!?

No I'm not the perfect fan, but I bet its hard as fuck to find a post of me deriding one fighter for what I allow my fav to get away with.

And I damn sho' aint no Pactard or a Floyd Nuthugger I give both credit and I insult them both on an equal basis when needed.

Come to think of it I can be spotted in a crowd as the perfect.. Yeah, I mean the perfect fan.

I think Titofan & Kabong are pretty objective fight fans. YKD? hmm he's a little picky, somewhat.
shows favoritism at time...but he can back it up & fess up when needed!

You could fill up a book with the nonsense that boxing fans get on with. We all get on with some nonsense, and some more than others.

We all fuck up though. Read too much into things, or don't read enough into them.

I just want all fighters to fight guys on their level. I'll say it again, 160 is weak and has been except for brief moments since the early 90s. And before that it had long stretches as well. It's considered a historical division but its history doesn't match its reputation.

I don't see a prospect going the distance as a bad thing. If they end up doing the distance, it proves that they can and any fighter who is expecting to win titles needs to be able to do that.

I hear what you're saying though. I guess we all judge fighters by their most recent performances and it often leads to us getting things wrong. The truth is, when it comes to many boxers, we really don't know what they are capable of on any given night.

I respect all fighters. Also I put my money where my mouth is. Most of you arrogant big mouths would get exposed in 2 minutes if you couldn't be massive aftertimers. Fact.

Yes that is ironic that you would start a thread where you are the biggest culprit.

We can be stubborn cynical nomads, but you have to have a thick skin and open minded to begin with to follow this often mentally abusive sport. And that's just pertaining to the fans

A guy going the distance for the first time is equally an opportunity to see his full arsenal and talent on display, be it revealing good or bad or both. Wilder for example, to me, showed as many red flags as it did him proving to be some will o the wisp boxing mind. Those red flags appeared again with Molina. He battled back, power in tow and stamina was smooth. If you're not looking at the gaps or negatives when being sold a reasonably yet to be proven prospect or in more cases..a champion ..then I should be judging costumes at Comin Con, though some of those fans are freaky and anal about historical accuracy Boxing and boxers are as random as the day. Case by case and credit where credit is due.
