Would you like to see the addition of a Super-Heavyweight division ?
What Would be the weight minimum ?

Personally I think there are too many divisions already. And the fact that smallish heavyweights have proven themselves a match for the 18st-plus guys means that this division is unnecessary.
Valuev gets belted twice!

Reigning WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev was presented with his WBA championship belt earlier this month in Hamburg. The WBA needed a little extra time to prepare for this day because the regular heavyweight belt simply did not go around Valuev's waist. A special belt had to be custom-made for the 7-foot, 330lb Valuev, who is by far the largest boxer ever to hold a heavyweight world title. "Yes, it fits," said Valuev with a big smile. The festivities then continued for the Russian giant, who also received the PABA belt which he had been waiting for for two long years.
If anyone qualifies for his own Super Heavy division...it's this fool.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
All that would happen is the Heavyweights would move up to Super Heavyweight, because there would be more money in that division.Originally Posted by Sugar_Shaw
I'm in favor of it although I'm surprised by the number of boxing fans that don't want it. I would set the weight limit at 250 or 260 lbs. That is, any man weighing above that limit could not fight in the heavyweight division, only the super heavyweight division. Regular heavyweights could fight in the super heavyweight division if they wanted to, similar to the way cruiserweights currently sometimes fight in the heavyweight division.
I think that what this would accomplish is to allow "small" heavyweights, say from around 200 lbs. to around 220 lbs., to be able to fight other men of roughly their own size. They wouldn't have to fight Valuev, Tye Fields, Jameel McCline, Michael Grant or the other genuine super heavyweights.
Of course we all know that some of the smaller heavyweights have been the best in boxing history, but the addition of a super heavyweight division wouldn't hurt them at all. In fact, a man such as Holyfield in his prime might be able to hold 2 titles, the heavyweight championship + super heavyweight championship. I don't see anything wrong with this.
How long would it take for James Toney to 'bulk up' to Super-Heavyweight?

ALL HAIL MONSTER VALUEV!!!
no one but big vladdy and sultan can stop this beast
CC.. You beat me, that's exactly what would happen, the interest always lies at the top regardless, especially among casual fans.. Another point is that there are no decent real big HW's right now in the first place.. I mean come on the division is so bad, and most top contenders are relatively small anyways.. If there was some abundance of good, really big HW's, well, they would be wearing belts right now and we would have some interest.. Splitting up the HW division at this point would be like seperating a pile of shit so it looks nicer.Originally Posted by Britkid
The Heavyweight divison on it's own its to crap to have a super-heavyweight divison, then it would be really crap, it would also mean alot of boxers left the Heavyweight divison, so it would probobly just turn at really crap, does Butterbean fight in the Heavyweight divison?
Yeah he changed his name to James Toney though.
the superhevies arent properly reconised. its like WWE or something. pile of shit. if your over 15 stone you pretty much fight at heavy weight. sounds a bit daft that a 15 stone bloke could come up against a valuev who weighs someting like nearly 24 stone, but thats the way it is.
About 20 serious trips to Burger King.Originally Posted by X

There is no need, it would make Heavyweight the new cruiserweight which would suck! If anything absolutely HAS to be done raise the weight for cruiser
