Is there a difference between rounders and baceball?

I know most Americans think baseball is a great sport but do they realise that in Britain a smiler sport to baseball is played called rounders.

It is played by school girls all over the UK.Same as in the USA. .

Rounders brings back fond memories for me at school of a chap called 'cambo' (short for cambodian as he was so skinny) taking a wild swing at the ball, missing it, doing a 360 degree turn and shitting himself as he did it (due to putting so much force into his swing)

You Brits can't complain about our sports, any people who follow Cricket can't speak about anything.

Rounders and Baseball are totally diff

Rounders = Small lil bats, bowl underarm, no gloves.

Baseball = large bats, better pitching, gloves, ect ect

Rounders is usually played by kids in school in the UK. Or if we're lucky Softball!!

All i remember about rounders was watching the girls at school on the field in them little pleated skirts, while the guys were supposed to be doing athletics, the only sweat i was working up was with me right hand.

I always thought like 'Stool ball', Rounders was a Sussex thing, never played it when I lived in Reading, but when I moved to Crawley it seemed a big deal.

The main difference is there are only two innings in Rounders and unlike Baseball all nine players need to get out, for the innings to finish... but if anyone is caught out, the innings finshes straight away.
