    Default Kell Brook-Kevin Bizier done.

Apparently the IBF has forced this mandatory on Brook - either fight Bizier or get stripped. Considering this geezer lost twice to Jo Jo Dan, a man totally outclassed by Brook before getting smashed to bits, says it all.

How do you sell a pointless fight like this with people knowing Bizier couldn't get past Dan twice?

This shouldn't affect the Khan fight in the summer (if that happens) but it's another pony defense for Brook.

Yeah, IBF are a great crack aren't they. Brook isn't a big enough name to tell them to stick it up their ass, he needs that title. Why don't the IBF just put a decent challenger in front of Brook. after all, it's not like Bizier can feel he's been robbed of his shot because he lost twice to Dan and look what happened to him. Errol Spence is #2 , Khan is even #4 ffs.
Brook doesn't like it because he won't earn much, Hearn doesn't like it because it's a hard sell, Bizier is going to come here for relative peanuts (15% of the purse) surely he could earn more in the States? The fans don't like it because they want to see Brook fight big names.
Congratulations IBF , you've done a good job of pissing everybody off.

How is Bizier ahead of Spence? Must be a time spent thing. Oh that’s right, they went and put Lawson/Bizier on as a title eliminator so fair enough, (wrong guy won) but the IBF is appearing to attempt to out peanut the gallery. It’s like someone told them they are being out dumbed by the others.

In addition, some of their moves lately suggest to me that they have something against the Brits. Mad that they have collectively taken over the boxing planet. They let Wlad ride the belt for 10 years and wait in line for their sanctioning fees but they almost immediately strip Fury of the thing right after the guy completed the upset of the decade. Now this weekend Martin v Glazkov fight for it. They make all kinds of allowances for others to unify and say they will wait on the mandatory as to not stand in the way of Hopkins,Wlad,Ward etc etc

Same with Quigg and Frampton with the added twatifier in the WBA. The IBF will immediately begin enforcing its mandatory right after the fight. The man in waiting is Shingo Wake. So Quigg inherits an immediate mandatory if he wins and may end up having to vacate or be stripped.

The WBA gets involved by telling Quigg that he was only babysitting their "Super Champion" status and is really only a Regular until Rigo decides to take his head out of his ass. Well I guess he has so now the winner will have to fight him in July which is great on the one hand but a classic shell game.
Even if Scott and Carl draw their hands are forced.

Trouble is, there is no getting rid of these scumbags. And all these fake meetings about unification. Based on what has happened and about to happen I see a different side to fighters that coddle their 1 belt. Why unify when they take the trophy back and give it to a fake?

Yeah, he definitely could. the thing is you can be a good, or even a great fighter, but if you fight, Jo Jo Dan, Frankie Gavin and Kevin Bizier one after the other, there is a very real danger of demotivation and letting standards slip. All it takes is one mistake.
if you were running the IBF, wouldn't you want better fighters challenging for your title than someone who has already come short at slightly below this level?

Another showcase for Brook. I'd like to see him fight Khan next.

Brooks should just get on and deal with this mandatory.

Bizier is tough. He looked good in his last fight, this IBF final eliminator:

It's a little bit harsh, because if he didn't fight Bizier , he'd be stripped. But it's only a bit harsh.
Brook and Hearn have to take a share of the blame, because they could've fought Gavin as a mandatory rather than a voluntary. If they'd have done that, he could've been facing a voluntary now, and a much better challenge and a more sellable fight. Maybe even going over to the States if he desired.
Whether he would've actually done that, we'll never know.

Well they better try and get some grade A beef if they can next because his next mandatory will be Spence Jr. This division is so deep and yet so lame its ridiculous.

If it was part of a stacked card i'd have no problem buying it.

As Primo said - Brook isn't big enough to bin that belt which means he has to take the shit mandatory. This will be three "pocket money" fights since Porter so pretty certain - even if Khan keeps swerving him - the next will be a "big" one.
