I find him hard to listen to for a length of time, but he's obviously a good dude and I admire anyone who has risen up from bad depression and such on their own accord. It's natural to root for him now, but I don't give him much chance at all against any of the guys he's saying are avoiding him I hope he has people looking out for him if he gets a shot and it goes the way I'd expect. He obviously wears his heart on his sleeve and has a bit of a screw loose.

I wouldn't fault him one bit if he spent the rest of his days following people around yelling like a maniac instead of boxing, it doesn't even matter who or what they do. He could stalk welterweights and accuse them of ducking him, who cares. Lets see him crash Donald Trumps inaugural speech, Trump the chump, he scared of the champ! I'd pay to see that.

Lol He can be obnoxious with that damn chant, but he's a kind-hearted man. What a left hook and physique God blessed him with.I do believe he'd have a decent shot at beating David Haye. Maybe Wilder too for the first 2 rounds. Also reckon he could have beaten Charles Martin and Lucas Browne too. Honestly haven't watched much of Browne though.Outside of those guys, no he's most likely not beating Ortiz, Klistschko, or Joshua.

In hindsight Martin sure, I would have thought Browne as well but he did look quite improved in his last fight against Chagaev, maybe that's thanks to some "supplements". I'd love to see Briggs beat Wilder but I think more than likely he'd get hurt bad even if it was an early shoot out type of fight. Briggs truly hasn't fought a half decent opponent since Vitali and even before that, Liakovich is more or less the one good win in his career I like the guy and he's physically gifted for sure, but it's hard to know whether he's even all that dangerous nowadays.

The problem I have with people writing Briggs off is that he hasn't ever shown a massive decline in skill.
He lost his last big fight to Vitali with an injured shoulder and stayed the distance.

He has a punch, a chin and a heart.

His record in the last 15 years is 24(23)-2-0 with 1 NC

I agree some stay busy fights in there but we are assuming he hasn't got it because he hasn't been in with a name in a while.

    Let's remember
    1. He is the most decorated active HW.
    2. He has probably the best chin in the current HW div.
    3. He is up there are one of the hardest punchers in the HW division.

Why does he not have a chance?

    Remember Foreman?
