Overall I have to say that I genuinely think that 2016 has been one of the best boxing years for some times, with plenty of big fights, a lot of needle and some real barnstormers too. However, what are your ultimate wishes for boxing in 2017 (I know many of them are in the pipeline already)?

For me:

1. Joshua beats Klitschko, and goes on for a fight with Fury.
2. Haye and Bellew are both knocked out (similar to the Renda / Samuels fight a few years ago) - the closest it gets to both of those fools losing.
3. Eubank Jr's PPV selling less than 500 units.
4. Somebody really tests Golovkin - or someone good enough to do so rises from the ranks.
5. Brook v Khan - Brook wins by KO.
6. The Selby brothers continue to rise (a bit of charisma for one or both might get them more sales though!)
7. Kovalev v Ward rematch.
8. Stevenson vs the winner of that rematch.
9. Frampton v Santa Cruz proves to be just as good.
10. A champion rises from a boxing backwater (just for the fairytale story)
11. The old guys retire without too much damage - RJJ, B-Hop - I'm looking at you.
12. some great KOs for the highlight reel.
