Who holds the record for PPV, Delahoya or Holyfield ?? I think it's one of those two but not sure, I think it is a lot of buys with the way things have been in boxing. I don't know how you feel about paying almost $ 50.00 to see a fight live but I hate it. I generally read what everyone has to say then watch it the next weekend, it takes away the suspense but 9 out of 10 times I say damn I'm glad I didn't waste $50 on that. What about you, do you often buy the PPV ?

i buy the PPV if i think it's going to be a good one. i bought this one. i stupidly bought both hopkins/taylor fights and (even more stupidly) jones/tarver 3. i bought morales/pac 2, and was VERY glad i did (plus comcast fucked up and made me miss like the first five rounds of the first undercard fight, so they comped me the program ).

i don't buy the total bs/ meaningless fights (mosely/vargas, for instance; and i'm not buying hopkins/tarver). in those cases, i close my eyes and ears to this forum and any other boxing news for a week and watch the free replay without knowing what's going to happen.

DEFINITELY a lot of non-combatants in the ring. while yoel judah's tied up with bobby the brain heenan, ted dibiase throws zab in the "million dollar dream." zab doesn't go out because richard steele gets the ring cleared after only 5 seconds of zab being in the hold. the ultimate warrior wins, but sal the butcher posts for weeks about how zab would have won if it weren't for dibiase, and questions the size of the arm-ties the warrior was wearing, claiming that they gave him an unfair advantage.

"The strong performance of Floyd Mayweather's first two pay-per-view fights bode very well for the future." Mark Taffet, HBO Senior VP of Sports Operations & PPV.

I don't like that quote. HBO will make safe fights for "superstar" Mayweather, for a SUPERFIGHT Oscar de la Hoya. At least that's the hint I see from that quote.

Oscar is an easy fight. There, I said it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eat that boxing fans!

I was pretty sure Oscar-Tito held the record.

    Anyway,
here's another eye-roll smilie for King saying PBF-Zab would break the record:
