Karmazin vs Spinks?

Apparently former undisputed welterweight champion Cory "The Next Generation" Spinks and Don King have resolved their differences as Spinks is said to be fighting IBF 154lb champion Roman Karmazin (also promoted by Don King) on either July 1st or 8th. Karmazin has a mandatory challenger in Rodney Jones and that fight was scheduled to go to purse bid soon, but apparently that purse bid date has been pushed back. Spinks-Karmazin would indeed be a bigger fight than Karmazan-Jones and add to that fact that the fight seems destined to be held in Spinks' hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, where Spinks is a big draw. By fight time, Karmazin would not have fought in a year since winning the title in a big upset over heavily favored Kassim Ouma back in July of 2005. For Spinks it will be his first fight in a 18 months since being knocked out by Zab Judah and losing his titles in St. Louis back in February 2005.

I really have no comment on this one as I haven't seen very much of either but it would definitely be an interesting fight.

I was wondering whay happened to old Corey! Karmazin is an awkaward and avoided customer at 154,I don't know how to describe his style but I think he is going to hurt Spinks on route to a stopage victory.

judah was robbed in the first vegas fight, and the NSAC will most likley ensure judah wont be fighting there anytime soon...


so if spinks stops this karmazin non-sense and wants to take on a real man...

all i remember is when zab scored the knockdown in the 12th i started celebrating cuz judah won the fight...


then the BS decision came in


he took judah off balance, and zab got up as fast as he did in the tszyu fight, when he put spinks down 2 rounds later spinks looked dead for a few seconds

I just looked on Boxrec and it states Karmazin is fighting Santos in his next bout??
