Default byrd is done--and good riddance

the chris byrd "era" is finally over...........thank heavens........IMO he was almost as annoying as ruiz if not more at times...........with his mommy working his corner, and his wife (aka mommy #2) screaming at him from ringside...............with his boring patty cake style..............we waited so long for ruiz to be vanquished...teased along the way with losses to jones and toney....with guys like rhaman and golota sure to torture him and kayo him only for ruiz to eek out a win............finaly the unlikeliest of sources, valuev, ends our suffering...............same thing with byrd..we though a washed holy would kayo him.........oquendo and golota seemed to beat him only for byrd to sneak away with retaining the title....then sleep inducers like williamson and mccline followed..........finally wlad klitz butchers him to the point where nobody will have to fight him again............

the heavyweight division at least is more entertaining without these imposters around

bye chris........we cant wait to forget you...........wait....chris who?

I must say I agree. I'm glad the Byrd era has ended. Watching this guys fights was painful at times.

Sheesh Byrd fights to win rounds and you say he's boring and needs to trade more, SO HE TRADES MORE and you find a flaw and that too? Whatever, I don't even listen to Byrd haters anymore, no matter what he does you'll never respect him.

I think peeps respect him. But be honest, he's boring!!! Winky is a great southpaw with boxing skills, too. And at times he's boring too. Nobody's hating. Theyre good boxers, but at times they are BORING.

Byrd Golata was good, and he also had Jameel McCline on queer street. Yes, these guys are Byrd haters.

Chris changed his style to NOT BE BORING. he stood and traded a lot more. Was the Tua fight Boring? Was the Holyfield fight boring? was the Golata fight boring? was the McCline fight boring?

Did you see him vs. Darryl Williamson? And the Holyfield fight was awful, you kidding me?

Dont think cuz you list his 2 or 3 best fights it makes it different. This guy was a bore to watch, MOST of the time.

Yea how can you blame Chris for the Williamson fight.

Chris was coming forward trying to make the fight, who was the guy who was backing away and running away from him it wasn't Chris.

How can you blame Chris Byrd for that DaVarryl is the one that ran from him all night!

Byrd deserves a lot of credit for what he has acomplished. He fought big guys and used his boxing ability to beat them.He has one of the best chins in boxing(especially for his size)and has great head movement. He did have a lot of exciting fights and deserves a lot of respect for defending his title for as long as he did.

I wish there were a way to root out idiot fans. The guy was small but a good heavy. He fought some great names and won some great fights. Why don't you go watch Nascar or something banal and retarded.

Do you think signing with Don and keeping him inactive didn't give him much time to give the fans something to remember by keeping him active
