Hamed is set to represent a Middle-Eastern company claiming to have developed the world's most advanced virtual reality boxing game. Furthermore, Hamed has reportedly been wooed for several months by a Middle-Eastern business consortium that has invested several millions in the project to date and are said to be willing to secure Hamed's signature for an amount far exceeding any current purse he may be able to dictate with a return to the prize ring. The game developers stated through their spokesman Lofal Sorpi, "We are thrilled to have received a positive indication of Mr. Hamed's interest in our project. Our product will revolutionize the virtual reality gaming industry thanks to breakthrough technology that will allow participants unprecedented physical immersion. We present realistic fight scenarios in which combatants will truly feel as if they are competing against their opponent while eliminating the risk of physical injury." Sorpi continued, "A technological event such as this requires an event to fittingly mark it, and as such, we are working towards our first public demonstration at our grand unveiling, scheduled for June in Las Vegas, USA to be conducted between "Prince" Naseem Hamed and current boxing star Manny Pacquiao. We understand that Mr. Pacquiao is still healing from the effects of his last fight, but as soon as he is able, we hope to open discussions for a lucrative deal between all concerned parties."
