It was a relaxed atmosphere at Monton House Hotel, Manchester, England yesterday for the weigh-in of British Light Middleweight Champion Jamie Moore and his opponent Matthew Macklin. The two will certainly be a little more tense during their clash tonight on a Maloney Promotion at the sold out GH Carnall Centre in the Davyhulme section of Manchester.
After weighing slightly over on the scales on his first try, Jamie Moore had to remove his necklaces and then his shorts to come in right on the button' at 154 lbs with Matthew Macklin coming in at 153 lbs and 9 oz.
There were only a handful of undercard fighters to weigh-in which included Ali Nuumbembe, (151.7 lb), and Vladimir Borovski (152.9 lb), Mark Thompson and Alexander Matviechuk, Stuart McFadyen, Chris Johnson (149.4 lb), Paul Porter (152.1 lb), John Fewkes and Gary O'Connor.
Also making an appearance was Ring Magazine Light Welterweight Champion of the world, Ricky Hatton, on site to lend support to his stablemate Matthew Macklin.
