Crown Boxing: McCall vs. Hopoate For IBA Title In Las Vegas May 22

Crown Boxing Inc. of Las Vegas, NV, heads into the final week before their IBA Heavyweight Championship match between former three time world champion Oliver McCall against the current Australian Champion John Hopoate from Sydney, Australia.

The fighters are in training camps, with Oliver McCall in Las Vegas, and John Hopoate in California. Both contestants will arrive in Las Vegas this Sunday at The Orleans Hotel and Casino and will resume training in Sin City.

The press conference will be held Wednesday, May 20, at The Orleans Hotel and Casino when both men will finally meet each other face to face.

This IBA Heavyweight Championship bout will highlight the Las Vegas 2009 Memorial Day weekend. There is a feverish pitch with good advanced tickets sales.

The remaining seven bout undercard is full of excitement, featuring the local match up of Patrick Liles, 7-0(7), against UNLV's Henry Namauu in a cruiserweight clash. The card will highlight father and son as Elijah McCall, son of Oliver McCall, fights Chad Davis of Phoenix Arizona in a heavyweight bout.

The IBA Championship Belt will be awarded to the winner on Friday, May 22, from The Orleans Hotel and Casino, in the boxing capital of the world Las Vegas, NV. The winner of this championship belt will certainly have boxing opportunities and matchmaker Frank Luca of Crown Boxing Inc. looks to unify the world title with its IBA Champion.

Press credentials have been requested from around the world and their is a contingency of over 100 fans coming from Sydney Australia, to support John "Hoppa" Hopoate in his quest as he puts his Australian Heavyweight Championship on the line against the experienced Oliver McCall, who goes for his fourth world belt.?

Fights will be held in the Mardi Gras Ballroom, Doors open 6pm / First bout 7pm, card subject to change.
