I would drop GGG after Rigo. Stevenson does not at all deserve to be on the list. Weren't you the one saying that Kovalev was dominating a bad division? And yet Stevenson has avoided any sort of competition whatsoever for at least 3 years. How Stevenson is above Kovalev is insane.

Truth is if Rigondeaux was equal size he beats each and every person out there. Which is what P4P is supposed to be.

But I agree, since he can't get anyone to fight him he can't be top, as messed up as that is.

You must owe Stevenson money . Ward is a tremendous talent but to me personally he does a lot of junk boxing to get through also. Almost Hopkins in his later years esque in spots. Definitely top 5 but for me Crawford, Loma and Rigo ahead right now.

I agree about junk boxing. But after weighing what they have actually done I can't imagine Ward lower than 2. He's just done so much more than the rest. Like about as much as Crawford, Loma and Rigo combined.

Any top 10 p4p list that has Adonis # 6, Ginger # 8..... and omits Chocolatito Gonzalez, is not worth the toilet paper it's printed on.

That last part is just a stretch imo. All respect for Super six wins over Froch Kess and Abraham specifically but again p4p boils down to what criteria you're using. Is it all level of competition, or trinkets collects or simply the most glaring and that is skillset and ring execution. All 3 mentioned to me are cleaner boxers, more diverse and have every bit the skills that Ward possesses. Can't blame Ward at all but he did have the red carpet of riding a gold medal to massive exposure resulting in high profile opportunities. Rigo couldn't get the time of day for a bit from networks who essentially blackballed him and Crawford had to take a fill in role on 3 days notice to open the door and co main HBO card. What he's done in just four yrs is flat out very impressive with same amount of title fights as Ward and is on the cusp of totally unifying his division next month, something that hasn't happened in over a decade. Only thing to me at this point that tips Ward top few is of course the first iffy nod over Kovalev and rematch win. Massive no doubt specially as Kovalev was also ranked p4p by majority but that cannot always be afforded to other top 10.

Ward to me is a solid #1. He just beat Kovalev convincingly who was easily top 5 p4p IMO. Ward lost a close decision to him the first time (not according to the judges obviously) but came back and won easily. He has shown time and time again that at his best, even great fighters can't hang with him.

Crawford is a close second but he has a little more proving to do. If he goes up and beats some top welters then he may get the nod at #1. Loma is rising quickly too so he may take over that spot soon enough if he can get just one signature win. I'm still not 100% convinced that he is the best until he either beats someone very highly regarded or has another 2 years of professional experience under his belt.

Rigo is hard to judge because he is really good, but he hasn't fought much lately (maybe no fault of his own) so I'm not sure if he has declined or what. It's hard to say that he is the best if I don't see him consistently beating fighters of higher caliber.

After those 4 it drops off to the next tier of fighters (GGG, chocolatito, Kovalev). All three are still really good.

Spence should be in the top 10 and I think by next year he should be in the top 5 once Thurman fights him.

I think Wards resume is underrated

    Darnelle Boone early in career
    Edison Miranda
    Kessler
    Allen Green
    Sakio Bika
    Arthur Abraham
    Carl Froch
    Chad Dawson
    Sullivan Berrera
    Kovalev
    Kovalev

That's 11 opponents from good tests to solid guys to elite wins. I agree Rigo, Loma and Crawford have more artistry to their styles. But it's hard to compete with that list of opponents. I even left a few guys off that had good but artificial records.

I know what you're saying, but you can't be underrated and overrated at the same time.
And he did have the advantages , home town etc. But the biggest advantage he had was that he was better.

Ward is poo. I swear you are all on drugs to see such a low output low balling, headbutter as anything meaningful.

Maybe, maybe not. Personally I think he would've, but it's a fair point. All I would say is if Ward isn't number 1, who is?
Former Undisputed 4 belt Prediction champion. Still P4P and People’s Champion.
