Default Holy crap! 34 Degerees centigrade in Melbourne?! (at MIDNIGHT!)

Must be hell... hope they have some good air conditioning!

Heard it was something crazy like 45 degrees during the day! Powerstations etc have been shutting down because it's too hot for equipment to operate properly...

Gonna go out on a limb and guess that the tarmac has been melting too!

Andre/Snakey... if you need a cold place to stay give me a shout!

Snakeys up north, its Diz, Greg,The third man and me down here, melting.

I went surfing nearly all day, got barrelled of me nut for two hours straight, came home and sat in front of the air conditioner and had a cup of tea :-).

It was hot mate, people looked hilarious going across the sand to the beach

alot like this -> " ahh ohhh fukk!"

Yeah the mid 40's are a C***, last year was bad for it. I am heading up to Brissie end of the month so I will no doubt sweat my bollocks off in the humidity !! Gotta love my Scottish skin though, helps reflect the suns rays, if I lay on a beach with no top I would be reported as a corpse

I have never experienced weather like that. 40'C+ just sounds insane. I wilt at around 35'C. For it to be that hot when it comes to bedtime? Well, there's no way I would be able to sleep. I need complete comfort in order to fall asleep.

I prefer the heat to the cold, give me your weather over ours. It saves me on heating bills and women wear skimpy clothes, whats not to like about the hot weather.

Yeah we were certainly melting down here.. We have no air-conditioning in this house either, so it stayed about 30 degrees inside the house all night... Only last night caught up on the sleep I missed 6 days ago..

Although going out for a cigarette a moment ago I needed a jacket on... Such is Melbourne weather, you can be melting in shorts one day, and wrapping blankes around you the next.. It's always a relief knowing you don't have a month straight of hot days..

Fortunately we didn't have any bad bushfires as well.. The fire bugs are usually out on the extremely hot days where hot northerly winds will whip up even a tiny spark into an enormous bushfire.
