Default Older Movies That You Love

This could include anything from silent films to a early-mid 1970's film.

Chinatown is such a good movie, one of those movies I can watch over and over. A Polanski film which could bother some but its such a well made movie. Everything about it, the acting, the music, cinematography, etc. It came out the same year as the Godfather II so it didn't win the Oscar but I think it was the better film.

There are others. I like some of David Lean's movies. I like the Godfather movies but at the same time don't get all the fuss about them.

Im going to be using some from all these lists in the old section of video ezy .

Yeah H Warriors , drips atmosphere.

Clints western movies too. (watched em all last week; nice to see Fensters old av 'Colonel Mortimer in action with Clint )

Dirty Harry series is hard not to re watch each time they come around.Hope they come on the classic channel soon.

    Charles Bronsons Death wish series.

I watch the original; Three Musketeers when it comes around.

    Hitchcocks stuff.

Lyles well onto the old ones I see.

Kirkland, That humour of Grouchos was a one of,those films are believable madness.

Journey to the center of the earth ws good in its time but would probably be dated now.

    Apocalypse now.

Some of the kids stuff is so well done too; Mary Poppins is a classic.

Was that the one with the British red coat soldiers holding the fort against thousands?

That was a tense movie for its time.

just love Bogies quip to Walter Brennan when Brennan claims he doesnt need a whole lot of money from the gold. Bogie says 'Suuure, your old. Im young. I need money and plenty of it' ha ha ha ha. What a funny guy!
Dunno if your familiar with the 'Dirty Harry' series but the same guy (Albert Popwell) is in every one. Hes the bank robber in the first, the one with the classic line bouta 44 magnum. He gets killed in the second as a pimp, Hes some kinda Black guru in another. Christ hes even his partner in one!!! Ha ha!! I know its a cliche but they just dont make movies like they used to, especially the old Warner Brother Cagney,Bogart and Raft movies. For my money they beat the shit out of the rubbish that passes for entertainment now. F**k all that julia roberts/richard gere will they/wont they crap, and that midget with the scientologist mindset. Couldnt act their age.
