Who would have won? Of course, I mean Hopkins when he cleaned out the MW division.

The best guys Hopkins beat were from lighter weight classes. De la Hoya, Trinidad....now later on when he beat Pavlik that was great.
As for this fight, it would be tough to call, any fight with B-Hop is tough to call. I think that it's very difficult to beat Hopkins let alone knock him out. Would have loved to see him vs Julian Jackson.
I'd probably go Bhop. Tough fight either way though.
David Lemieux = Future MW Champ and P4P King
This is a fight that I doubt Hopkins would have liked to take. Win lose or draw he'd struggle to look good.
Hop takes advantage of Nunn's long neck and his lack of tucking his chin.
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
Hop never liked fighting fast boxers who were effective counter punchers. Look at his fights vs Roy, Joe C and Chad Dawson for examples of what I'm talking about. With that said, Hop learned from the Roy fight and while in his prime became effective at mauling on the inside and slowing/breaking down fast guys who likes to move. He would've fought similar to how he fought Keith Holmes and Winky Wright and would've had to settle for a late stoppage or points win. People forget how aggressive Prime Hop was or how mean he was. Look at his fight vs Joppy, he beat Joppy so bad the guys head was twice its normal size at the end. Nun was never very durable, wouldn't stop Hop and while he was a great boxer in his day, he wasn't Roy...
Appreciate the compliment. I'm a HUGE Hop fan. He won me BIG BUCKS when he stopped Tito. Roy taught him a lot in that fight. Wasn't either guy's best fight, but I'm thankful I got to watch to ATGs in the ring live. I'm a big fan of both, although I wish Roy had fought better guys...
Years of sparring John David Jackson helped Hopkins earn a phd in fighting southpaws.
Nunn didn't have the temperament or poker face for that middleweight Hopkins assuming we're talking the best of both. Nunn seemingly thought all it took was a tremendous title defense to guarantee his star status and looked to almost run off the road of reality at his first million dollars. For all his speed of hand and agility he looked like a reluctant Peter Pan for long spells vs Barkley. While people harsh Hopkins for some 'smaller opponents' what did Nunn do after that boo fest..he fights a welterweight. Really think Hopkins was too physical and sharp in and out for Nunn.
Stylewise bad matchup for Hopkins but he could dog it with Nunn and come up with an ugly victory. If Toney got to Nunn then so could Hopkins.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I think BHop makes it ugly and takes a decision. A prime BHop is hard to beat and I don't think Nunn was durable enough to do the job.
