Never visited Paris and not seen it but certainly heard of it.

Only been to the tribute one in Montreal. I always hoped to see the real one some day.

Went there 5 years ago. Sad to see such an iconic building go up in flames. Parisians must be beyond devastated.

Whatever your Religious leanings it's always terrible to lose places of historical and cultural significance. Right before Easter Sunday too.

Excellent building, I love it the carvings in the archways are amazing, really great... Very sad thing to happen but also places like this aren't just some lumps of wood nailed together and some stones arranged in a certain way, some of the structure looks to have survived and when the crazy French gits rebuild this fire is just going to be another part of the history of the building and the site it sits on. It survived revolutions world wars and so on and now a terrible fire... I think that's pretty cool in some ways... I sort of like the idea of pieces of art being born from fire and tradegy, I think it's a great building and was very sad to hear this but also the walls still stand and now the modern world can add to this work of art that will survive for even longer.

There is a tribute building? Is it called 'Not quite Dam' or something? Built on the site of a Roman temple it has to be the most important Gothic Cathedral on earth. Walked around the outside and admired it on visiting Paris but never went inside.

It will be rebuilt by robots. Always seems to happen when the builders are in. Windsor, The Mackintosh building in Glasgee etc.

They need to question Rudy Ruettiger.

He's still bitter about the amount of time he got on the field when he played there.

Didn't take long for the nutjobs to try and capitalise on the destruction of the very historty, culture and tradition they pretend to value.

As usual with this type of occurrence, it's not even the nutjobs themselves who should be flogged in the town square. It's the mindless sheep who give the "Likes" and "Thumbs ups" to the Posobiecs, Watsons and Rues of the world.... instead of laughing them into oblivion, and refusing the bait of endless hatred. It's a vicious cycle that grows and feeds itself at a rate that would even dwarf the very fire that consumed Notre Dame.

I think so too. There is something beautiful about these buildings. When I head to the West I always check out the great old Cathedrals. Amazing buildings.
