"The Yank."
Donny's way of catching unsuspecting dignitaries by surprise and exerting his macho alpha male dominance over them.
I always wished someone would've yanked ol' Donny of HIS feet.
There isn't any autocrat or fascist anywhere that you wouldn't love to live under, is there?
You just can't wait to see the end of democracy and a bunch of fascists ruling the world. It wouldn't go well for you you know. The reason democracy is so venerated in America and promoted by America throughout the world is because it's unquestionably the best system there is. Other systems, particularly fascism, don't have the best track record. Democratic institutions and the rule of law allow for unrivalled peace and prosperity. They allow for working class people to obtain a fair share of the economic pie. They give all ethnic/religious/gender/minority/whatever groups equality and human rights. They allow for free markets, fair competition, rapid economic growth and broadly shared prosperity. No other system of any kind allows working people the rights and opportunities afforded to them in democratic societies and you're desperate to throw all these things away.
Once you step outside of the democratic system you're allowing the people at the top of the system to do anything they want with no laws or courts or institutions to check their power or sanction them in any way. In no time at all you'll have a ravenous elite who will have nothing stopping them from gouging and gaming and rigging the system to take all of the pie and turning you into a serf. You're a turkey voting for Christmas, you're cheering on people like me while we take the eyes out of your empty fucking head.
The foundation stones of the American economy in the last century were firms like Standard Oil, General Motors and US Steel. In the future they're tech companies, biotechnology, nanotechnology firms and so on. What is the general political persuasion of the people who work in these industries? Do these people have a different idea of freedom to the MAGA brigade? If you fucking idiots do manage to vote for Christmas at some point in the future then untold trillions of dollars in future wealth generation will get on planes and fly to other countries. An autocratic regime will ruin the American economy.
Things will go bad gradually then suddenly. Half of the money invested in the US capital markets and economy is foreign. A lot of it is going to head out of the country if it goes autocratic and this will cause a downturn which causes more disinvestment and the whole thing becomes an ongoing vicious spiral. Interest rates shoot up as foreigners no longer have the same appetite to finance US debt which puts a big permanent brake on the economy. Elites are too busy looting the system to give a shit, The regime can't repair the damage because they've ended the system that underpins the entire economy so they resort to throwing cultural bones to their supporters to keep them onside. Crackdowns against disfavoured minority groups. Opposition political parties disbanded and the leaders thrown in prison. The economy going to shit can't be the regime's fault so those Jewish moneymen are going to get the blame. All of a sudden you're living in a horrific impoverished racist tyranny that has literally seen its future wealth and prosperity get on planes and leave the country.
And if it ever dawns on you that you made the wrong decision and you'd like the old system back then that would be easy. One thing we know about autocracies is at the first sign of any demonstrations against the regime they head for the hills, stopping only to install a caretaker government who hold the fort until elections can be held.
What is it about this that's so attractive to you? It looks like being part of a movement that promises to attack groups of people you hate for whatever reasons and give you some level of social or cultural status is the motivating factor here. You must have a fucking miserable existence.

"Trump’s paid-speeches organizer is struggling financially"
Too short to be president. The first time he's on a stage with Trump in the primary debates and Trump calls him Miss Florida and it's all over.
A top Justice Department official told former President Donald J. Trump’s lawyers in recent weeks that the department believed he had not returned all the documents he took when he left the White House, according to two people briefed on the matter.
The outreach from the official, Jay I. Bratt, who leads the department’s counterintelligence operations, is the most concrete indication yet that investigators remain skeptical that Mr. Trump has been fully cooperative in their efforts to recover documents the former president was supposed to have turned over to the National Archives at the end of his term.
It is not clear what steps the Justice Department might take to retrieve any material it thinks Mr. Trump still holds.
And it is not known whether the Justice Department has gathered new evidence that Mr. Trump has held onto government material even after the court-authorized search in August of his private club and residence in Florida, Mar-a-Lago, and 18 months of previous efforts by the federal government to convince the former president to return what he had taken on leaving office.
The Justice Department declined to comment.

Late last year, as the National Archives ratcheted up the pressure on former President Donald J. Trump to return boxes of records he had taken from the White House to his Mar-a-Lago club, he came up with an idea to resolve the looming showdown: cut a deal.
Mr. Trump, still determined to show he had been wronged by the F.B.I. investigation into his 2016 campaign’s ties to Russia, was angry with the National Archives and Records Administration for its unwillingness to hand over a batch of sensitive documents that he thought proved his claims.
In exchange for those documents, Mr. Trump told advisers, he would return to the National Archives the boxes of material he had taken to Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Fla.
[...]
Finally, after telling advisers repeatedly that the boxes were “mine,” Mr. Trump consented to go through them, which his associates said he did in December. Mr. Stern was alerted that the boxes were ready for retrieval.
But neither Mr. Trump nor any of his representatives informed Mr. Stern that they contained classified information.

So treating classified documents as bargaining chips to try and investigate a conspiracy theory and later actually going through boxes of classified documents himself and not returning some of the boxes. His fingerprints literally all over the various felonies here.
And it turns out he was lying about other people packing up the boxes when he left the White House. According to testimony he supervised the whole thing and had a couple of pallets of boxes prepared for the government to move them to his Florida restaurant:
