Prime for Prime how do you see this one?
Prime for Prime how do you see this one?

Good fight! I see a prime Danny taking punishment but coming back around rounds 8-9 to TKO Frank. I don't think Frank has the pressure to finish him off
I'm probably in the minority here.
bruno was beating lewis - who alot of people think was a top 10 all time heavy
thing with frank is, tbh probabyl with the exception of MASSIVE punchers, not to say lewis wasnt he could hold his own with almost anyone, until he got hit! so could be bruno in 2 or 3 or williams in 5 or 6 lol
but probs bruno
A prime Bruno would batter Danny Williams.
It wouldn't go three rounds.
Danny Williams took a lot of punishment against a completely finished Mike Tyson, not a half way decent Mike, let alone prime.
Vitali is not a big one punch knockout guy and takes few risks.
Bruno hit with bombs and beat everyone outside of the elite world class.
Williams would be floored about half a dozen times before his corner saved him.
Danny Williams is seriously overrated, he beat an overly shot Mike Tyson who injured his ankle. The same version of Mike Tyson who lost to Kevin McBride.
Except for that what else did he do ? he got destroyed by Sinan Samil Sam. Went life and death with fighters like Julius Franics, Michael Sprott.
Frank Bruno only ever lost to world class fighters, and performed well in all of them.
He would of destroyed Danny Williams inside of 6 rounds, Frank Bruno wouldn't lose to anyone on Danny Williams resume except Vitali Klitschko.
Even if Danny went into the fight with a positive attitude and ready to fight, not something you could guarantee, Bruno beats him. Even if Danny was having a Mark Potter night the ref would have stopped it before Bruno would have been anywhere near running out of steam.
I'm not even contemplating picking against Frank, lovely fella.
I don't know Lewis would have been about 28/29 then and was probably in his absolute prime.
After that he started to get a bit lax resulting in his two KO losses.
Lewis in 93/94 was probably a peak Lewis. The big name fighters he beat after that were all pretty much past their best.
as much as i like danny, nice guy always has time to stop and chat...............but frank bruno's OUR FRANK, he'd beat williams inside 5 rounds
Easy Bruno lost to Tyson and Williams beat Tyson so Williams of course
I know Snakey is talking in jest but I find it amazing that some of the others would think Danny Williams would beat Frank.
I mean Frank Bruno only lost to 3 fighters, all of whom would probably rule the division if around in their primes right now. He was also virtually impossible to beat on points. Only Tyson was ever ahead on the scorecards early against him.
Witherspoon had to wear him down in the late rounds and Lewis was behind at the point of the stoppage.
No fighter short of elite ever beat him.
Meanwhile Danny Williams got knocked out by Samil Sam, Albert Sosnowski and Audley Harrison. He lost to Julius Francis for feck's sake
I can't see him giving Frank Bruno any problems whatsoever, Bruno would have beaten him easily.
Bruno vs Gary Mason is a much more interesting fight imo.
I think Bruno and Mason are easily our best heavies of the last 20 years, discounting the great Canadian/American/Jamacian/Brit Lennox Lewis of course.
Gary Mason vs Frank Bruno would of been great, two huge punchers going at it. Gary Mason did hold some good wins over Tyrell Biggs, James Tillis. Shame that his career ended before it even really got started.
I think he gave Lennox Lewis a very rough/tough fight, but his eye was a mess and it had to be stopped.
But back on topic i couldn't agree with you more, could you imagine Danny Williams fighting Lennox Lewis, Tim Witherspoon, Bonecrusher Smith, Prime Mike Tyson ?
Honestly he would of been lucky, to have seen the 2nd round with most of em.
Bruno tko 1
Remember reality is an illusion caused by a lack of alcohol .
Totally different level fighters. Bruno was at least a world level fighter, just not world class, williams was just a British/European level fighter who was lucky enough to fight a very shot legend and beat him. It would be a long painful night for Danny IMO with a KO arriving in around 8th or 9th.
Shame you couldn't cross these fighters though, Williams had great recovery and determination to see out a fight once hurt, whereas Bruno lacked these but had more in the skill department and i'd say had the better power (although Danny could punch).
