I would get rid of judges. EVERY SPORT YOU CAN THINK OF has adapted with technology. In hockey, its no longer just some dude sitting behind the net's job to decide what's a goal, they have instant replays and about 5000 different camera angles. So why is boxing still using the same scoring system it did 100 years ago? Well I think we all know the answer to that, the same kind of crooks that ran it back then are running it now.

No more ringside judges. There will be 3 different panels of judges watching the fight and have access to the fight video, so they can see the entire fight at all times. Because bad decisions are the worst part of boxing. Its really hard watching a guy work his ass off, come with a great performance and get robbed.

How would that work? The judges watch it live, then check the video in the minute between rounds before marking the card?

Part of the drama is not knowing the result. That's why the WBC idea of announcing the scores after every 3-4 rounds hasn't took off.

I don't see the benefit of this. How many people are in each panel? How long would you alot for the score to be announced? Your comparison with hockey is an apples and oranges argument, a goal in hockey is a goal it's binary in or out. Boxing is a whole different animal, if fighter A lands 15 punches to fighter B landing 35 punches, fighter B doesn't not necessarily win the round. Furthermore, why did you start a new thread to counter a point I made on this thread?

The Networks begin shunning the alphabet gangs, and when speaking of champions only make reference to The Ring/Lineal Champions

    or

The alphabet gangs create a confederacy, whereby when titles are unified, the mandatory challengers for each organization must box-off with only the winner getting the opportunity to challenge the unified champion. That way, a unified champion would only have one mandatory a year, and every makes their money.

    1. Send the people running the sanctioning bodies to Guantanamo. Have one set of titles/ratings which can be run by a nonprofit organisation that can take sanctioning fees to be used only to set up a pension fund for retired boxers. The people running the nonprofit can be retired boxers. Only one title per division means everybody knows who the world champ is and when the casual fan is watching a world title fight he knows it's legit. The importance of that can't be overestimated.

    2. Don't sanction any fight on pay TV, even HBO or Showtime. Fights have to be on free-to-air national TV only. That way you get huge public interest back in boxing. The only country that still does free-to-air is Germany where boxing is huge. It used to be free-to-air in Britain before satellite TV came along and interest was huge then too. Do it in America and you'd have a massive sport again, with huge public interest in fights and fighters. Hidden away on HBO nobody knows them. It's only the very elite fighters who make money from PPV anyway. If they were on free-to-air they'd lose a lot of earning power but they'd have a national profile so they'd make money from sponsorship and endorsements. The top guys would still make millions so nobody loses and everybody wins.

my view on this to make boxing more exciting:

    1- Give incentives(money) - on knockout wins
2- Scoring system - judges should read their verdict infront of live audience
3- Pulling out hours before fight time ala guzman v nate - should be considered loss to the one who pulls out and award a win to the other
4- PPV fights - 50$?? no way.. should be reasonable or much better free tv
