    Bantamweight titlist Joseph Agbeko was knocked out of his defense against Abner Mares due to a case of sciatica that caused him to collapse on Monday night.

    Update:
    Al Bernstein said today that Showtime will still air Darchinyan and Perez saturday night.

    I'm a big fan of "whack-whack-whack" Mares. A dedicated bodypuncher in the mold of Ruben Olivares or Chavez sr or Zarate.

    But I fear King Kong might be too much.

    I have my favorites for the bantamweight tournament but I am going to exercise my legs and make sure that I have all the snacks and beer ready for that night. This card is worth the effort.

    Have to agree. I think Agbeko is pretty underrated not to mention one of the more improved boxers to come along last couple of years I'd say. Think he takes it all. Love this tourney!
