European Boxing Champ Munroe Gets Top WBC Spot, Runs For Charity

Today, European Super Bantamweight Champion Rendall Munroe, who has just earned a WBC number one ranking, donned a full Santa outfit to take part in a Charity Run at Markeaton Park in Derby, England.

Rendall was one of approximately 350 ‘Santa’s’ running in the ‘Jingle Jog’ to raise money for the Butterfly Suite at Royal Derby Hospital.

As competitive as ever – Rendall, who was well ahead of the pack throughout, came first in the 5K rac ! Proudly displaying his winning medal – the “Boxing Binman” from Leicestershire earned a well-deserved cuppa and biscuit for his efforts!

Afterward, he donated £250 to the Derby Hospital Charity Appeal and a further £250 to Loros – the Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice in Leicester. Marisa Spiteri was on hand to receive the cheque on behalf of Lorus.
