Boxing In England: Dunstan vs. Dolan December 12 In Sunderland

Promoters Phil Jeffries and Neil Fannan have teamed up to announce a fight card taking place 12th December in Sunderland, England.

After numerous prior attempts to stage the show fell through, Rainton Meadow Arena has been selected as the venue with the backing of Matchroom Sport.

The headlining clash features ex- European and British cruiserweight champion Terry Dunstan, 23-13 (3), facing former two-time British and Commonwealth title challenger David Dolan, 14-2-1 (5), for the vacant English crown, scheduled for ten rounds.

Dunstan will be engaging in the sixth bout of his comeback following a nine year hiatus and reports suggest the 42 year old is in the shape of his career.

Heavily decorated 31 year old former amateur star Dolan drew with British and Commonwealth champion Rob Norton in January and the bout with Dunstan is expected to contend for Fight of the Year honors.

Also scheduled top appear on the bill are Martin Ward, Trevor Crewe, Glen Foot, Gary Fox, Johnson McClumpha and Kirk Goodings.
