Friday night, at the Metrodome, Barnsley, England, Carl Greaves Promotions hosted a dinner show which included seven bouts of boxing.

The headliner, saw local man – Josh ‘The Outlaw’ Wale storm through with a third round TKO over Slovakian – Elemir Rafael in their 6 round Super-Bantamweight Contest. Wale piled in the body punches during the second frame while Wale supporters shouted to ‘Watch the head!’ of his opponent. Rafael slipped to the canvas a couple of times and the addition of taping to his boots didn’t help.

Wale went on to get the stoppage in the third. He improves to 13 wins (7 by KO) 3 losses (1 by KO) and 1 draw, while Rafael drops to 16 wins (1 by KO) 50 losses (18 by KO) and 1 draw.

Matthew Mallin (Barnsley) v Steve Spence (Scunthorpe)
4 x 3 Middleweight Contest

Some fancy moves from Buster Mallin secures him the points win (40-36) over Spence. The local man started out very busy – spearing his shots upwards in corkscrew motion. Mallin improves to 4 wins (1 by KO) no losses while Spence’s record now stands at 2 wins (1 by KO) 8 losses (3 by KO) and 2 draws.

Ross Blackwell (Wombwell) v Jonathan Fry (Chichester)
4 x 3 Super Featherweight Contest

Blackwell gets the points win (40-36) and improves to 3 wins (1 by KO) 1 loss, while Fry’s record now stands at 3 losses and 1 draw.

Danny Gerrard (Maltby) v Louis Byrne (Guildford)
4 x 3 Middleweight Contest

Experienced Byrne proved a handful for Gerrard but the Maltby man secures the points win (40-36) to get his second pro-win. Byrne’s record now stands at 2 wins (1 by KO) 22 losses (6 by KO).

Lee Stewart (York) v Kristian Laight (Nuneaton)
4 x 3 Lightweight Contest

Stewart notches up his second win on points against experienced Laight (40-36). Laight’s record now stands at 6 wins 102 losses (4 by KO) and 6 draws.

Joe Rodgers (Sheffield) v Ben Morrish (Plymouth)
4 x 3 Lightweight Contest

Debutant Rodgers got off to a great start in his pro career when he scored a second round TKO over Morrish.

Morrish drops to 2 wins 2 losses (1 by KO)

Chad Gaynor (Rotherham) v Tom Dunn (Penwortham)
4 x 3 Welterweight Contest

Gaynor notched up another win by TKO Friday night to take his winning streak to 6 wins (4 by KO) Dunn gets a second loss (1 by retirement and 1 by KO).
