In Sheffield on Saturday, Richard Poxon promoted a charity boxing event at the Ponds Forge Arena.

The fundraising show headlined the Vacant IBF Youth Middleweight Title clash between Adam Etches of Sheffield and Andrei Abramenka of Belarus. Etches secured the Title with a fourth round TKO – having put the Belarusian on the canvas in rounds one and three.

The event also featured seven undercard contests.

In Scotland, Jon Slowey of Glasgow secured a points win over Scottish-born Michael Stupart of Hayes, Middlesex, in their eight round featherweight contest. Five undercard contests also fetaured.

Over at the Arena Nord in Denmark, Brit-Boxers Luke Blackledge and Terry Carruthers were unsuccessful in their contests.

Blackledge of Accrington faced Erik Skoglund of Sweden for the vacant WBC Youth World Light Heavyweight Title but lost by Unanimous Points. While Terry Carruthers of Birmingham also lost by Unanimous Points to Torben Keller of Denmark in their eight round Light-Middleweight Contest.

Also venturing outside of the UK this weekend was Sean Hughes of Pontefract. He faced Ali Hallab of France for the WBO European Super-Bantamweight Title at Le Colisee, Saône-et-Loire, France, but suffered a fifth round KO. Hallab wins the Title.
