At the Kings Hall, Stoke, Saturday night, Josh Groombridge of Uttoxeter stopped Scott Hillman of Eastbourne in 1 minute 14 of round one, Hillman having been on the canvas twice. The Middleweight contest was scheduled for four rounds.

Hassall sustains a cut to the left brow in round 3

Wilshire gets off the mark with a points win 40-37

Ben Eland (Ollerton, Notts) v Dale Arrowsmith (Hyde)
4 x 3 Welterweight Contest

Eland wins on points 40-36

Rob Fletcher (Debut)(Stoke-on-Trent) v Darren Snow (Dinnington, Yorks)
4 x 3 Cruiserweight Contest

Snow is on the canvas in the last half minute of round 3 and his gum-shield comes out in round 4.

A good first pro outing for Fletcher who wins on points 40-35

Rhasian Earlington (Debut)(Newcastle-under-Lyme) v Florians Strupits (Bauska, Latvia)
4 x 3 Cruiserweight Contest

Debutant Rhasian was rather over enthusiastic! He dashed out - chasing his opponent around the ring and throwing punches rather than settling in to the boxing. He dominated the fight but gets a bloody nose in round two.

Earlington wins on points 40-36
