WBA granted extension for Ramirez and Dorticos to negotiate – World Boxing Association

The World Boxing Association (WBA) Championships Committee approved the request made by the teams of Gilberto Ramirez and Yuniel Dorticos to extend the negotiation period for their cruiserweight title bout by 10 days.

This Tuesday, August 27, the auction for the fight was due to take place, but at the request of the parties, the WBA gave permission for them to continue negotiating and reach an agreement.

Ramirez will make the first defense of the belt he won this year when he defeated Arsen Goulamirian and must face the Cuban fighter in this exhibition.

The Committee will monitor all talks and hopes that in the next few days there will be good news regarding the agreement for the fight.
