On Monday, November 17, Star Boxing’s Delvin Rodriguez, 23-2-1 (14), of Danbury, CT, looks to take one step closer to achieving every boxers ultimate goal of becoming a world champion, when he battles Isaac “Angel” Hlatshwayo, 28-1 (10), of Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa, at the Emperors Palace in South Africa in a twelve round welterweight eliminator for the IBF number one ranking.
The card will be promoted by Rodney Berman-Golden Gloves in association with Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing.
It will be Rodriguez first fight since winning the vacant USBA welterweight championship against Oscar Diaz on ESPN2’s “Wednesday Night Fights” back on July 16 in San Antonio, TX.
With the fight exactly two weeks away Rodriguez and his camp left for South Africa on Monday November 3, making sure to give Rodriguez ample time to adjust to the high altitude in Johannesburg.
