British Featherweight Scragg Challenges WBC Boxing Champ Mrdjenovich Tonight In Canada

Tonight in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, West Midlands female boxer Lyndsey Scragg gets her first title shot when she meets Jelena Mrdjenovich of Edmonton.

Scragg, based at the Wednesbury gym run by Errol Johnson and Bob Plant, will face Mrdjenovich for the WBC Female Super Featherweight title.

Scragg, a fire-fighter by day, turned professional just 18 months ago and has a perfect 7-0 (3) record.

Fighting in front of a home-crowd, Scraggs Canadian-born opponent has the more experience – having fought in 26 contests, with a 22-3-1 (11) record.
