Any Peter Frampton song
God.That Waterboys tune brings all those great young feelings flooding back(See what i did there;),"Flooding back"......WATERBOYS,oh well!).What a tune that is.It's hard to believe that tune was from 1985 though, god i would have been only 4yr old.I must have been dancing to it with me Skid-marked nappie on!:D.I remember it well though,"Good tune!"
Nick Kershaw's"Would'nt it be good!" was another great tune i remember too as a youngster. The video to the tune was great to at the time.I have'nt seen that video for yonks. It would be great if someone could stream it on here.I would appreciate that a lot!!!!:)
I remember my mid teens fondly when it comes to the music I was getting into. I was discovering the Velvet Underground, Bowie and Scott Walker around that time. It was also the height of brit pop and I was into the more art end of those bands with my favourites being Suede, Pulp and even Belle and Sebastian. This is music that I come back to time and time again. Each of those Brit bands made exceptional B sides and quite a lot of them.
Am also a britpop generation man
The great oasis-blur battles
cocker running on stage and mooning wacko jacko
ace of spades
that canadian chick that won eurovision for the UK
Care free lyrics that never really advanced the song but it didnt matter because they sounded good.
Im really not getting into the logistics you touched upon............but you get the jist!
Dire Straits can strike a nerve and take me back as well.

Yeah, an interesting time for UK music. I really love the first Oasis album. Blur were a fantastic singles band for me but did have some real gems on their albums too. "I should Coco" by Supergrass was also good. "Caught by the Fuzz" is brilliant. I also thought Sleeper came up with some decent tracks.
How could this song not take some of you back in time? Love Stevie Knicks.

Shampoo's Trouble is the first one that came to my mind. I was a really big Power Rangers fan when I was 5 years old as everyone that age was. And I remember that song when the movie came out, oh man that was great. I would pay a lot of money to be 5 years old and be in the theater for that one.
I remember being in the front living room in Norfolk, Virginia and watching that video and then the Chasin Waterfalls video by TLC. That is a span of 10 minutes in my life that for some reason has never left my memory.

For some reason,I can not listen to Pink Floyds "The Wall" without getting all emotional.....:-X
Cher - Turn back time .
now that takes you back lol ;D;D;D;D
Songs that take me back to my younger days...
Anything from Boyz II Men, Usher, Toni Braxton, Mariah, Brandy etc. etc.
2Pac, Biggie, Snoop, Dr. Dre, NWA, 2Short, Warren G, Cypress Hill etc. etc.
I grew up around the time R&B and Rap was hot in the late 80's early 90's.
Do you remember old friends by the songs that they listened to?
I just got my hands on a Pantera cd and rememeber a friend of mine that would love to crank up the volume full, bass blasting Pantera for the whole neighborhood to hear. By the time I got out of the truck and my skin stopped shaking I couldn't hear a damn thing. ;D
ANyways I find myself connecting songs to different people. It's a memory trip, I get goose bumps when one of their songs come up.
There was this song called "Cotton Eye Joe". I think it's supposed to be pretty old...
:bag:
Here's another group that takes me back; just for your amusement FrozenSemen69:lickish: This is a perfect song to showcase your love for Zab:LOLATYOU:

and dozens of others....
Actually for me Faithfully is one of the best songs they made. The 3 you listed are probably my least favorite;D No offense. I love Wheel in the Sky, Send Her My Love and Separate Ways. A great band though.
On a harder scale, this song takes me back to some bad times I was having when it came out. Maybe my favorite song:cool: Sh#tty sound on the vid though:p

If ever by chance you happen to read my name in a newspaper, with a headline like..."Crazed Person Today Wiped out Whole Village of Puppets and Their Puppeteers..." You can almost be sure it was me. And you can also be sure I was singing this song as it happened. Because those cotten rock suckers put it on tv, and my family not knowing any better, sat me there...often for hours on end... :hypnotized:
