As for the people paying her respects now being those who booed her and hated her in the past I don't actually think thats true. All over the internet there are thousands of whiny bastards telling the world how useless they thought she was completely oblivious to the fact that making a song and dance about a poor mum who has just died a tragic death makes them far worse on any social scale than she was.
How can people not see the hypocrisy in slagging Jade off because she was gobby and nasty when she got into arguments for example and then think its ok for them to sit in judgement of a complete stranger and tell the world they thought she was a waste of space.
Jade was simply a normal working class common girl, like millions of others around the country, People despised her mainly becuase she is just one of them, simple like them, petty like them, argumentative like then, undeserving of fame and fortune like them.
Nobody who says Jade is a waste of space and acts like her death is a good or funny thing is any better than Jade Goody as a person, in fact imo they are far worse.
It's events like this that show the true character of people and those so blind and impervious to human suffering that they can use someone's tragic death in order to make a point are just horrible people in my eyes.
Jade should be treated with respect because she was a human being, a mother, a daughter, a wife and she died a horrible death.
If someone refuses to give her that respect becuase she's not 'worth it' then they themselves are not worth respect either.
I still don't really care. I see all these stories on the front page of Yahoo and just draw a blank. I certainly haven't bothered to read through any of them. What is it about this woman and the recent events that make it so worthy of attention? I wouldn't wish anybody a death like that, except maybe George W Bush, but is it really that interesting? It's certainly not something I can get upset about. It's like a modern times Princess Di for the chav's.
She's being cremated so that the guests can take away their own little goody bag after the ceremony

But firstly her death wasn't covered step by step and filmed like Jade's was and secondly, rightly or wrongly millions of people in this country were interested in Jade Goody and so her death struck a chord. Thirdly Natasha Richardson lives in New York not the UK.
If Natasha had died a lingering death with a camera crew documenting her final events, if she was a household name with millions of working class chavy people around the country and if she actually lived in the UK then you can guarantee she would have got a eulogy.
As it is I'm sure many high profile people have paid tribute to Natasha and her tragic death last week. A lot of people can relate to Jade Goody, she's been called the Chav Princess, she's just a common girl, one of the common people. Common people (of whom there are millions in the uk) clearly relate to her much more than a wealthy socialite from acting aristocracy who lived a life of splendour on the other side of the world.
But put simply, Jaed Goody is more of a household name in the UK and her life hs been heavily documented since 2002 so she her life and death is interesting to a far larger demographic than Natasha Richardson.
Also Natasha may not have had her praise sung by the PM but she also hasn't had the indignity of several thousand hate threads posted all over the net and people who never met her publicly proclaiming what a fat fucking waste of space she was, I'd say it balances out ;)
Whats amazing is that around 200,000 people die everyday. Roughly 40,000 of those are children who die from starvation. About 4,000 die of AIDS. Cancer kills approx. 20,000. It is sad when mostly anyone dies, but the media decided Jade Goodys life was more newsworthy than the other 199,999. The media is what amuses me, her death doesnt impact me in any way though. If I died a week earlier I doubt she would have come on Saddoboxing and left me so much as an RIP. But f@ck it, since ive aleady wrote this much...RIP Jade ;D

Well that's how it is in life! Jade Goody is news simply because her death IS important news to millions of people. So the newstatsions cover it for them.
These anonymous statistics you quote arn't significant to millions of people as nobody knows who they are. It's simple common sense. Just as we on this forum arn't going to talk about an Yong Panduck beating Chin Manoy in Manilla in a 4 rounder neither are the newscasters going to tell us about poor Mary Eller who died in her sleep aged 46 from Turrberry Crescent in Stover, England.
The irony is that you ARE talking about Jade Goody more than those who just acknowledged her sad death and moved on. It's clearly news to you too if you find it important enough to talk about it.
To me it just shows he fickle life is.

She comes from a council estate in south-east London, born to a drug addict dad and a crazy lesbian mother. It's hardly surprising she didn't get an education or the most well-grounded upbringing, is it?

Whether she came from nothing to something isn't the point... it's the fact that she didn't work for it or acheive it.
Unfortunatly I know plenty of people with worse backgrounds than Jade Goody who worked to better themselves.
She entered a reality TV show. People were so captivated by her that on leaving the interest continued and in the process she amassed a fortune.
What is undeserving about that? Millions loved her entertainment. Millions loved what she was selling.

Is the ability to kick a football around a field a real talent? Is the ability to beat someone up a real talent? What about the ability to roleplay somebody else?
Virtually all of the people we admire and look up to have talents that in reality don't equate to very much at all in terms of improving human society or bettering civilisation.
The ultimate acolades and plaudits these days go to entertainers, those people who do very well the things that entertain the masses, but yet in reality are completely and utterly pointless, so the ability to sing and look sexy on stage, the ability to play football, to box, to tell jokes, to act etc.
The most modern form of entertainment in 21st century Britain has been reality television, where 'ordinary' people get 15 minutes of fame.
Jade was just one of thousands of reality stars created over the past 10 years or so but unlike the rest of them she managed to capture the attention of the public, not just for 15 mins but from the moment she first appeared on our screens until her death.
Her book was a bestseller, amazingly her perfume range was a best seller, she turned herself into a million dollar plus brand name and even made stars of her family.
That IS talent. She has been more succesful than any other Big Brother contestent, probably in the world.
Not bad for someone who grew up with no qualifications, no prospects whatsoever and entirely the wrong uprbringing for success.
But to suggest she didn't earn her way is just ridiuclous.
