I know he wasn't fighting anyone, but remember the name Miguel Berchelt.
Lightweight, fast hands, good feet, nice technique.

I thought he looked strong but a bit crude.
Beer break! Won't be anymore stand by's...
like almost all fighters, he is staying too long. If it were me, I'd go into training or promoting fights in Mexico and have walked away after the last Vazquez fight. Enjoy life and hope not to do any more damage to myself. But I'm not a fighter. They want to fight as long as they can. No different than most athletes. NFL guys who will go through surgery after surgery to keep playing even though they are past it and financially set for life. NBA players who were stars hanging around to be a backup who has a few nights here and there where they show the old flash.
Even at this weight Juan Manuel Lopez looks thick and too heavy. I look forward to seeing how he looks, but my initial impression is he shouldn't try to be any heavier against Manny.
LOL
THAT didn't take long!
That dude is OUT!
Whoa.
Right hand right down the pipe.
Was that a glass chin or a really big power shot? It just looked like Marquez's standard 1-2 punch.
Geeze that was impressive but i wish I'd seen more of JMM at this weight.
[Freddy Roach writes not to self. "Remind Manny not to just stand in front of Marquez."]
I think his body looked fine. He is thicker in his last few fights at 135.
He rehydrated against katsidis to 145.
If I am him I train hard and get in great shape and come in around 138 again.
For whatever reason if Marquez were to come in at 141 and rehydrate 4 pounds and fight at 145 he'll look much worse than if he weighs in at 138 and fights at 145.
Makes no sense to me, but it seems to be true for Marquez.
