Bradley's last 2 fights have been exciting. He deserves some respect.
I never said I hate him, but he is not "special" yet
I never said you hated him but you did say he was not exciting. His last 2 fights have been exactly that.
He PERSONALLY is not exciting, like Chuck Wepner was not exciting anywhere except the Ali fight
Last 2 fights? There was only 1 exciting fight because of Provodnikov
Bradley had nothing to do with the excitement?
No special speed or power, no insane unorthodox combos, not special technique and moves, no charisma outside the ring
The only special thing about him is his veg diet and bodybuilder look
Solid fighter, nothing more , nothing less
then the guy is fucking awesome for not being anything special with wins over Marquez, Provodnikov, Pacquiao, Peterson, Alexander, Holt, and Witter and that's not counting his wins over older guys like Casamayor and Campbell
Marvin Hagler was just the same nothing special but just kept winning and being F awesome. :)
The special part of Marvin was that
1) The contrast with SRL, because marvin did it hard way from the bottom of the bottom. He got looses due to judges, which built his character and made him what he became: ruthless, no compromises, do not let the victory in the hand of judges
2) he was a WAY better brawler and boxer actually than current Bradley p4p
3) switching guards was Marvin's trademark
4) His victories were undisputed, leaving no room for doubts
5) He was the definition of BAD ASS
Bradley now is a sissi mama boy, being handled carefully by his promotion team

Bradley is like Marvin because he was not really appreciated until he beat Hearns and people started paying him respect and looking back at his career. Hagler changed his style as he got older from boxer to brawler. Bradley does not switch hit and Hagler got ripped off.
Bradley is still young and has a long way to go but there are comparisons to be made. He will win you over.

Marvin was BAD ASS.
I am talking about Bradley now, not in potential future. Yes, things may change, who knows
Re: Enough with the Bradley hating
Hit and not get hit and being exciting are almost oxymorons (unless you're a KO artist like a Tyson or Pacquaio). As fans, the most exciting fights are when both guys are beating the shit out of each other (Gatti/Ward, Hagler/Hearns, and of course Bradley/Prod). It means taking punishment.
Boxers should have the heart to go to war, but the intelligence to avoid it when necessary.
Bradley was not going to KO JMM. He knew that, everyone knew that. He won the only way he could have, because if he chose to be exciting and exchange with JMM, he probably would have gotten KO'd. That's stupid. You can't expect guys to fight stupid just because it's more exciting for you.

Discover fabulous 4 and all MW from 80'es. Now go and do homework
Re: Enough with the Bradley hating
You think Cus Dàmato or any other legendary trainer would have had Bradley fighting Prod the way he did... that`s insanity. Cus, like all great trainers, taught good fundamentals and defense. Hit without being hit is the ultimate goal.
Re: Enough with the Bradley hating
I am sure if he beats Manny and Floyd he will gain your respect. ;)

You really are an idiot.
You name me any 80`s MW (Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, Duran, ect) and I`ll give you a handful of fights where they were boring because they were fighting smart.

Once tested good chin does not count yet, he is no Gatti after just oone brawl
Solid fighter, nothing more , nothing less
I'm pretty damn sure he does not want to be a Gatti, who would? Everyone admires Gatti's fighting spirit, but getting chin checked, unnecessarily, dozens of times every fight is as far from what a fighter should be as you can get, in my opinion.
I liked Gatti's warrior mentality as much as the next guy, but watching one of his fights also had me mentally cringing, and wondering what the fuck is this idiot doing?Sweet science? there was nothing sweet about the way Gatti fought.
Many boxing fans idolize Gatti, but I just cannot get behind it. I'm hoping nobody starts out wanting to fight just like Gatti.
I agree with everything, but I was talking within the context of "what is special about Bradley at the moment"
Re: Enough with the Bradley hating
If the only boxing you find exciting is guys going to war you in fact are not excited by boxing. That means you like fights, not boxing, and frankly have no business commenting on a boxing message board.
Re: Enough with the Bradley hating
I don't think its hate really. Its fair to say and it was true early on, Bradley is a workman. He does everything well but nothing extraordinary honestly. Personally I was defending the guy when he was being raked as a dirty boring ducker which was bs, but his personality doesn't pop and hes as colorful as a white crayon. I soured after the Manny fight not for his effort etc but he was constantly playing the victim role and it went on and on. His humble got away from him and fans saw it as doubly bitter and whiny. He felt he needed to prove something, fingers up to the doubters vs Provo and literally got his head twisted off because of it. He is a very head strong and determined guy but he wore it on the sleeve and again came away unconvincing, save for the heart of a lion. Last night he kept his head and showed lessons learned, and boxed on his terms alot of the time and kept his swagger and pride in check and let the skills talk, though I am still not convinced it was some blow away win for him. It was a mass contrast in style and the rounds were ying & yang close. I still had Marquez nicking it but certainly no robbery. I like the dude, the kid is a fighting professional but he still has some to learn. 24rounds with 2 legends is a great start to an already impressive run.

And knocking everyone out short of Duran and SRL.
Last nights fight was a boring terrible fight.
Neither guy impressed me or really wanted to take chances.
Felt Marquez won, but it's hip to think otherwise.
Over 60% of the PPV audience felt Marquez won, but naturally they are all just "haters" and rabid drooling Marquez worshipping morons lol
60% may have been mexicans. :)
