Bradley's last 2 fights have been exciting. He deserves some respect.
I never said I hate him, but he is not "special" yet
I never said you hated him but you did say he was not exciting. His last 2 fights have been exactly that.
He PERSONALLY is not exciting, like Chuck Wepner was not exciting anywhere except the Ali fight
Last 2 fights? There was only 1 exciting fight because of Provodnikov
Bradley had nothing to do with the excitement?
No special speed or power, no insane unorthodox combos, not special technique and moves, no charisma outside the ring
The only special thing about him is his veg diet and bodybuilder look
Once tested good chin does not count yet, he is no Gatti after just oone brawl
Solid fighter, nothing more , nothing less
I'm pretty damn sure he does not want to be a Gatti, who would? Everyone admires Gatti's fighting spirit, but getting chin checked, unnecessarily, dozens of times every fight is as far from what a fighter should be as you can get, in my opinion.
I liked Gatti's warrior mentality as much as the next guy, but watching one of his fights also had me mentally cringing, and wondering what the fuck is this idiot doing?Sweet science? there was nothing sweet about the way Gatti fought.
Many boxing fans idolize Gatti, but I just cannot get behind it. I'm hoping nobody starts out wanting to fight just like Gatti.

I agree with everything, but I was talking within the context of "what is special about Bradley at the moment"

If the only boxing you find exciting is guys going to war you in fact are not excited by boxing. That means you like fights, not boxing, and frankly have no business commenting on a boxing message board.

I don't think its hate really. Its fair to say and it was true early on, Bradley is a workman. He does everything well but nothing extraordinary honestly. Personally I was defending the guy when he was being raked as a dirty boring ducker which was bs, but his personality doesn't pop and hes as colorful as a white crayon. I soured after the Manny fight not for his effort etc but he was constantly playing the victim role and it went on and on. His humble got away from him and fans saw it as doubly bitter and whiny. He felt he needed to prove something, fingers up to the doubters vs Provo and literally got his head twisted off because of it. He is a very head strong and determined guy but he wore it on the sleeve and again came away unconvincing, save for the heart of a lion. Last night he kept his head and showed lessons learned, and boxed on his terms alot of the time and kept his swagger and pride in check and let the skills talk, though I am still not convinced it was some blow away win for him. It was a mass contrast in style and the rounds were ying & yang close. I still had Marquez nicking it but certainly no robbery. I like the dude, the kid is a fighting professional but he still has some to learn. 24rounds with 2 legends is a great start to an already impressive run.
