Simeone should've been booked and if Beckham hadn't petulantly flicked out , he would've been. But it doesn't change the fact that Beckham had to have a red. Come on Eric, we've seen guys get reds for "touching" people's faces with their heads, way less intent than that . And a goal that should've stood. That's the whole sum of England's bad luck over 50 years is it?

i don't agree, there are plenty of occasions when people lash out a lot worse than that and don't see red and with the magnitude of the game
it was a shocking sending off and the fact that simeone wasn't even booked make it clear the ref was incapable, only defeatist englishmen would disagree, and then the golden goal?
