Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
david has a good chance but he shouldnt be getting himself a name as a cocky arrogant prick because if he does get KTFO people will just laugh at him. Although he does back his mouth up in the ring I do respect him for that. He needs to fight a top ten fight ASAP and really push a fight with Wlad, big KO's is what he needs and he can do it.

I thnk Haye will bring a breath of fresh air to the HW division.
When will that breath be taken? When he's on his back after the first Wlad right hand?
did he actually throw one of those in his last fight? ;)

Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
i gotta give haye credit, it takes alot to call out the best heavyweight, lets see how he does in his next two fights and hopefully they can battle it out.
wlad is cool also

See above post, + plus correct me if I'm wrong but I'm seeing about an 8-10 pound difference between the Crusisers from the late 80's till now, and the quality of Heavies is dramatically weaker.
Again Haye beat the man to become the man and then beat the #1 contender and now has decided to fight at Heavy what more was there to do for him:confused: The fact is people still hold on to the fact that the Heavy weight division should be viewed with reverence and some majestic romance of yesteryear... When the fact is the Heavyweight division is piss poor quality and lacking the most depth than any division in Boxing today...
I believe that after Wlad fights his Mandatories and Wlad wins than most certainly this fight should happen.... Again whats wrong with Haye being outlandish and trying to get his name out there, the man is young, strong athletic and has a flair for showmanship, all of a sudden we rather have a robotic version of Dr Zhivago who is as tentative and scared to fight. :horseshit: HorseShit!!!!!!!

I don't know JT Lyle talks sense...Think about it mate...What has Haye done at HW?...Why does he garner a bout with Wlad over everyone else?...What about some unifacation bouts?....What about hm fighting a top 10 guy first?....Sultan is 1 fight from his reign as champion....
Povetkin is undefeated, Thompson, Dimitrienko, Virchis, Valuev.....
You may not like them or feel they are worthy but all have put in their work...
McCline while has lost his last 3 was somewhat cheated out of his win over Peter....Not fair to just overlook him and Give a CW a title shot...Ruiz is back and looking damn! good...Boring in the past yes but an established vet who is fighting a new style and capable of wrestling a strap from anyone....He was cheated out of his title flat and that part is a fact.....
All these guys have put in years not a few fights to keep in the title picture....
What has Haye really done?...OK he beat Mormeck and Enzo but before that can you name 3 top 10 opp or even top 15 ranked guys off the top of your head?....Just a bunch of padded names and that is a fact...
So padded that 1 fight before Mormeck he beat Bonin who had something like a 35-1 record but was not even considered a top 25 fighter in the CW division.....
The current crop of heavy's may be a weak one but the guys have put in their tim to stay in the mix and not be overlooked for a recently crowned champion who has a poor resume....
Actually Bonin was a big win he was top 10 ranked in the heavyweight division.
I can see where JT is coming from to an extent. When it comes to undisputed champs we expect them to move up and challenge the best straight away. Hopkins moving up to face Tarver, Calzaghe moving up to face Hopkins, Hatton moving up to face Mayweather. Everyone is moaning because Pacman's first fight at lightweight is only against one of the lesser champs and not Campbell or Casamayor.
Rafael Marquez moved up to face Israel Vazquez etc.
So I can see JT's point..........
But David Haye is being such a fucking tool in the way he's acting that he just makes me want to see him get the absolute shit kicked out of him.
I will say this though, a trash talking tool who can't back his shit up I hate, a trash talking tool who is able to back his shit up and do what he claims........they earn my respect.
So when Haye moves up I'll root against him, but if he does pull it off I'll give him the respect he deserves.

Thanks Bilbo, thats exactly my point about #1's moving up and fighting the next best division fighter... Happens all the time but all of a sudden Haye is from Mars because he wants Klitschko:rolleyes:
Cocky as he is I'll take charisma and flash over Mr Roboto... Haye accompolished what he set out to do, he has the boards buzzing with negative and positive attention which translates to public interest..
Lets face it the division hasnt seen this kind of anticipation in years

Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
Haye has not done anything worth credit in heavyweight division except for beat a fat slob (who klitchko would have killed) by running away from him. British may call it a technique, and to some extent i can understand why haye did it, but that's not heavy weight boxing, that's BS.
Haye does not have 1/999999 the heart that he claims to have, he might be quick but there is no way he can avoid klitchko's blows for 12 rounds, klitchko is smarter and more experienced, wlad is well conditioned, and he punches WAY harder than haye as well. Haye is just another loud mouth poser. There were 56 of them just like him, 53 lost, 47 got knocked out, and only 3 MIRACULOUSLY won.
If Gaye ever mans up to actually sign the contract,he will be in for the beating of his lifetime. :boxing:

When was Bonin ever a top 10 guy in the division??? Maybe by a sanctioning body or some stupid website but no way anyone ever thought he was that special.

PErsonally, I think that if ever Haye (because he backed off 2 times already) fights one of the Klitschko, he ends up with a special delivery #3 in his trouser, 2 black eyes and two fists on the canvas before the 7th.

Wlad has scary power and he has proven it...Also while Wlad is mostly soft spoken and mild mannered there is a limit to everyones patience....
The last thing Haye wants (Or anyone else for that matter) is a fight witha pissed off 6'6" 250lb HW champion with his kind of power looking to take your head off....
A while back another guy who had won the title form a 6'5" 240lb HW champion acted like Haye is now trying to embaress him and trash talking a bit too much....and take a look below to see how that ended:-\...
Like they say becareful what you wish for...There is also a reason why they say Let sleeping Giants lie
Would agree with you usually but we are not talking about Ivan Drago. Klitschko is as safety 1st and tentative as they come. Tell me the last time you saw Wlad agressive and assurting himself
Have you ever seen a klitchko fights? :cwm27: lol when he wants to take risks, he brutally knocks people out.

Personally, i think Haye will set multiple world records when he fights klitchko.... most 40 yard dashes inside a ring.... quickest dash...first person that has to be dragged inside the ring, most brutally knocked out boxer of all time... ;D

Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
The only problem Haye has is he isn't american. the people on here slating him would be hanging off him if he was a fellow yank.
I believe Haye has the skills to beat either Klitscho and he's the ONLY heavyweight that could give either of them a decent fight. And they both know that.
Haye will annihilate Ruiz and then they're going to have to give him another chance.
Haye is a breath of fresh air from the overweight, talentless, charismaless heavyweights in the sport at the moment.

And im sick of all the Haye haters on this forum comon guys boxing's about upsets and Haye smashing the Klits sisters would be one bad ass upset! Plus it can only do good for the sport, a big mouthed cool heavyweight champion will get more casual fans wanting to watch the PPV's!:)

I'm tired of Brits who talk a bunch of shit and then end up splattered all over the canvas because they are only the best fighter of the UK.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSpfIPHZ-JI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzP91Rn0wSE
....and next on that list is that PUNK B*TCH with the WBA belt and hopefully he'll get smacked down like those Brits before him.
....I don't hate British people, just the guys who have the chip on their shoulder for no good reason. If it makes you feel better I dislike Americans that do the very same thing like Sergio Mora and Paulie Malinaggi...I only wish they would get stomped out in such spectacular fashion, Hatton, Khan, and Bisping really set the bar high. I wouldn't mind Kelly pavlik catching a couple punches like that.
-
Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
i honestly thought this was an internet viral worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as "chocolate rain" and "leave britney alone"
Wlad does himself proud, haye makes himself look like an absoloute mug....nothing changes!!!!!!!!!!

Thats all fair and well but in two of those three i was rooting for the other guy as opposed to the brit (Hendo and Prescot) And guess what im tired of Klit fans! And ill be sure to rub this one in your face when Haye pulls of the win and hopefully shuts down that fucking robot!

Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
How long does Haye have to develop? Shit he looks pretty old to me and has been in the ring plenty of times. I know Heavys are taking longer and longer to get up to speed, but his path to glory looks like chicanery to me.

Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
No blowout by Wlad. Cautious dismemberment. Vitali is the guy that will get him out quickly. Wlad will respect the risk of of his power and take him in deep before he takes him out

Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
Lyle I agree with you re those that spout off - I don't support all our fighters.
But I take a lot of what Haye says tongue in cheek and find him funny rather than cocky. And he's creating interest which the whole of boxing should be thankful for.
If he beats , the top 5 all time heavyweight and future Hall of famer , John Ruiz in April then a Klitschko looms and though I make them both favourite over him I really hope its Wlad as he's vulnerable to the power Haye has a chance of a stoppage win. (KingRome thats a silly statement to question his power)
If he fights Vitali then I think he will be destroyed. I know it was a few years ago but if Lewis couldnt trouble him with that ridiculous right uppercut he landed then I dont thing Haye, fighting cautiously , will be able to damage him at all.
However - whoever comes out on top between these three will then have the unenviable task of trying to avoid a certain death showdown with A-Force.

Silly statement to question his power? Im not sure what fights you are watching, but i have not seen any power displayed by Haye. The a retarded statement is calling Wladimir "vulnerable". His losses were bullsh!t, nothing short of bad luck. You don't become the world heavy weight champion and knock out 47 people if you are vulnerable (unless you fight a fat slob like valuev, hit him, and run like hell)
-
Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
So Haye is talking a lot of smack and Wlad tells him to get in line...Just a couple of thoughts:
- Is there a bigger heavyweight fight to be made than Haye-Klitschko?
- Why would Wlad want Haye to "get in line" risking a loss and a lose
huge payday?
- If this would be an easy fight for Wlad why doesn't he take the fight take a
huge payday and shut this guy up?
Wlad's behavior is very odd unless Haye has really gotten inside his head and has Wlad questioning himself....Otherwise Wlad avoiding him makes no sense.

Really? So it's bad for the champion to request (especially after the CHALLENGER ducked Wladimir) that the challenger earn his title shot?
Sure there's a ton of money to be made off of this fight which is why BOTH Klitschko's tried to fight this punk.
Now why would the now current WBA title holder have ducked them if he wanted to fight them so bad to begin with???

Let's boil this down, heavyweight boxing is not a spot of "honor" or "deserved" shots. It's a sport of money, every time in the ring could be your last so you're a fool if you don't take big paydays when they are available. Haye backed out of the earlier fights because he wanted more money and the Klitschko's low balled him because he had no belt. Now with the WBA belt David commands more money, simple. From what I've seen it's only David Haye talking about unifying the titles, why isn't Wlad? You saw the confrontation with Wlad telling Haye "to get in line"..WHAT LINE?!?!? This is the only heavyweight fight (except for Wlad v Vitali ;) that will generate any interest. Or I guess Wlad v Eddie Chambers is more exciting to you?

Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
The only money haye was going to get after accepting a shitty deal from Klit was the money generated from Setanta... when they went bust he was getting almost literally no money for the fight.

Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
Haye did something i WISH these other heavyweights would do. He went after a champion NOT NAMED Wladimer or Vitali. Seriously there are other people to fight with belts. Haye actually went out there and fought the giant and beat him for the WBA title.
These are things I wish the "heavyweight hopefuls" would have done instead of just jumping for a shot at either Klit when neither are ready for it.
Haye has done the only smart thing in the heavyweight division in a long time.
He could either come in the heavyweight division with no name to the heavyweights, get beaten by Wladimer and then go back to nothing and the hype is gone.
Or even if he beat Wlad he'd face vitali then Wlad again as per the contract and for crap money.
What does Haye do? He says screw it and goes and fights Valuev. And now he is the WBA Heavyweight champ making his first defense on HBO. While Wladimer is fighting Chambers and him and his brother can't get fights on HBO anymore, so they fight on small time PPV or on ESPN. So who got the better end of that?
Haye actually decided to MAKE A NAME in the heavyweight division and it makes the proposed fight with Wladimer bigger, and better and puts some hype beyond the Heavyweight division.
And anyone who disagrees with that cannot complain about how crap the heavyweight division is. Because according to that logic you'd rather have seen Haye jump in, have small hype for like 2 months, get beat and the heavyweight division be stale again.
What Haye did ensures the heavyweight division some form of hype for the next year or so before him and Wladimer fight.
What Haye did was great for himself, but even greater for boxing. ESPECIALLY the heavyweight division

Please explain to me how exactly has either of the Klitchkos avoided him? they told him he is a nobody, and better earn some heavyweight credit if he wants a title shot... after all the trash talk from haye, both Klitchkos wanted to get inside the ring and demolish him... he backed out... why? because he is doing this for publicity... and he will not step in the ring unless he gets enough money that will make up for getting brutaly knocked out. money this, money that.... idc what haye's reasons are, idc about money, i don't care about ppv, boxing is boxing.. if you are a boxing fan to see who gets more money, you probably should go watch who wants to be a millionaire instead.

.....that is the dumbest shit I have read in a long time.
Maybe the next heavyweight hopeful should go after the NABA title holder Fres Oquendo...I think Fijian Heavyweight Champ Mosese Kavika has been ducked for too long!!!!
NEWSFLASH the WBA Heavyweight Title is for people who are IN the heavyweight division but don't want to fight the "A level talent".....FACT

It is not a FACT Lyle. The WBA title isn't what you want it to be because you want to win some sort of argument.
Haye did the smart thing fighting Valuev and getting the WBA title, bringing some excitement to the heavyweight division rather then just turning up at heavyweight fighting Wladimer, losing and then going into obscurity. Then the hype for the Heavyweight division is dead again. What Haye did creates hype for a fight with him and Wladimer or any other heavyweights or hopefuls for the next year or so rather then killing any kind of build up in one fight. And now Haye is fighting on HBO and Wladimer and Vitali fight nobodies on the internet and on espn. Who made the better decision for the sake of the heavyweight division?
But i guess you'd rather see Wladimer beat Haye and the Heavyweight division be in obscurity to the point it doesn't even get on national television? And honestly Fres oquendo is better then the guy Vitali is fighting next... FACT

You're kidding right? First both Kitschko's said they wanted to fight him then low balled him on the offer sheet saying he earned nothing in the Heavyweight division. Haye went out and is now the WBA Heavyweight champ so now Wlad tells him to get in line. Why is that? If we want to play your game of "whos deserves what" , who deserves a shot more than David Haye the reigning WBA Heavyweight Champ...Maybe you think Wlad should fight the WBC champ, which I would love to see ;)

The Klitschko's tried to fight him TWICE and that little turd pulled out of both fights, it's not because of money it was going to be the most money that little bastard ever made, but his little TV deal fell through and he ended up hurting himself "shaddow boxing"
You fight in the WBA rankings because you want to fight for a title but you don't want to acheive anything substantial in the division.

Lyle, while I usually respect your opinion, don't let your personal favorite cloud the bigger picture. Saying "You fight in the WBA rankings because you want to fight for a title but you don't want to acheive anything substantial in the division" is just plain silly, and historically incorrect. For about the last 10 years the WBA has been a weaker Heavyweight title to hold but prior it was probably the most significant and relevant Heavyweight title to hold, that's a fact. You know very well that a title is only as relevant as the title holder, so I'll ask a question; If Wlad held the WBA title would you still call it irrelevant? If not why can't he beat the crap out of David Haye and unify the titles like ATG's ; Ali, Holmes, Tyson, etc have done in the past?
-
Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
Since when were boxing organisation's rankings like football/soccer divisions Lyle?
Is there are WBA league and an IBF league or something? I always thought that you could fight anybody... no matter who ranked you at what? ??? Unless I am missing something...
If you want to unify some titles and make a shit load of money then who exactly is Haye behind in this special queue that Wlad keeps going on about? Other than his brother Vitali I can't think of anybody...
Lets look at it like business instead (because that's what this is)... we'll compare it to shops on a high street.
You have a a hifi shop... been around for a while, none of the competitors can really touch it, best known shop and it has excellent goods.
Around it are a couple of other hifi shops on the street... crap - they have boring lacklustre goods at best and nobody is really interested in them, but they've been there for a while.
Then you have this new store opens up... it's got loads of hype around it... it's advertising is a bit obnoxious to say the least but people actually know about it... it sells good enough products to at least be interesting. It used to sell TVs in a different town but now its moved here to sell HiFis... it was pretty fucking good at selling TVs though and there's not that much difference.
As the long established successful shop, if you had to buy out or go into partnership with one of these stores then would you pick one of the shit shops just because 'it's been hear longer'... despite the fact that all you're going to do is carry it's bloated, useless arse around or would you go into partnership with the shop with hype and enough produce to interest consumers and MAKE YOU SOME MONEY.
You'd only chicken out of choosing the newer shop if you were worried that it could end up taking you over and would rather monopolise the shittier shops.
make money with something slightly risky or play it safe and drag the streets economy down the shitter.
heart of a lion.

Re: haye/klitchko confrontation(must watch)!
The WBA is owned by Don King, not directly but just look at who has held on to the belt and gotten title shots year in and year out and why hasn't ANYONE holding that belt agreed to a unification match when the IBF, WBO, WBC, etc all have been willing to play nice and share???
The WBA is a sham, more so than any other organization.
If there was 1 belt right now and only 1 champion right now given the current situation who would it be? I can bet it wouldn't be that little shit that has the WBA belt, he'd be lucky to fit in at #3 on that list.
