if manny loses a single round vs jmm, its pretty apparent that pac has no shot vs floyd.
Well going by that logic Manny Pacquiao gets dominted by Floyd Mayweather Jr then, because JMM fought both version's of Manny Pacquiao. And has won atleast 15 rounds out of the 24 rounds they have fought.
Are people honestly overrating Manny Pacquiao this much ? yes he's great and probably will win. But JMM won't win a single round and will be KO'ed in 5 brutal rounds ? really ?
I remember when this was supposed to happen in the 2nd fight, and i told Rain's it wouldn't and i was right.
The age and weight will be more of a factor now, but JMM will put up a good fight and certainly won't get dominanted

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
For all we know PAC might carry JMM to the final bell, if he felt sorry for the diablo Margarito why not for the heroic Marquez.

Juan Manuel Marquez the cerebral pugilist will fight at his backpedalling/counter-punching best, but hopefully, not misguided nor enlightened from any or nearly to that from a Narvaez/Mosley/Clottey perspective.
Two scenarios... Dull, UD points win for Pac or if JMM brought mustard, Pac KO within 5!
At any rate... an assured third loss for Pacquiao in the very pop and considered mainstream, Marquezspeak! Absolute;y!
T-shirts that read, I beat Paquiao three times are now selling briskly, as we Marquezspeak!;)
I hope Marquez does not shell up, they'll blame PAC for that again.

Naaah, I don't see that at all, styles make fights, it's possible that JMM wins a few rounds.

that's the thing Mars JMM is a great counter-puncher with B+ defense while PBF is the superhuman counter puncher with a A+ defense with size and speed advantage, if PAC struggles with JMM all the more vs PBF. I'll just roll over and die:D

I don't think Pac will struggle with Marquez at all, just saying it's possible JMM steals a round or 2, I don't see it as a big deal. Pac either wins a clearcut decision or stops Marquez, either way he dominates him. As for Mayweather, I like Pac's chances, Manny throws punches in bunches and enough will get through Floyd's defense to win him the fight.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
I think Mayweather will gauge Pacquiao's performance in this fight to determine whether he would want to fight him.
A dominating performance by Pac, say goodbye forever to the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.
A so-so performance means ' expect their fight next'.

The pressure on Mayweather to fight Pacquiao is going to be enormous after the Marquez fight, i'm thinking it gets announced the day after, but who knows.

Yes both versions the one dimensional Manny Pacquiao who only used his left hand, and the new and improved Manny Pacquiao who actually uses his right hand. I just think its very assuming to think this will be a blowout, considering JMM has won more rounds overall in both fights.

I hope Floyd does not announce before the Pacquiao-Marquez fight or at the day of their weight-in that he is going to fight someone else. This will take that pressure off him.
But of course, if it's against Martinez, he would have taken the limelight off the Pac-JMM fight.

Worse for fans, If Floyd starts to announce that he is retiring for good due to lack for credible, big money fights out there, saying he's done great things for boxing, fought the best clean fighters out there, and made an enormous fortune out of it. blah blah blah...
Its like a wrench thrown into any plans for Floyd-Pacman fight in the future... a big slap to boxing fans who all waited to see that fight to happen..
I can feel Floyd will do some media buzz before Marquez-Pacman fight to try and steal the spot light from those two folks. And the loudest buzz can be created either by saying to all that will fight whoever wins on that fight, or, he will retire his a$$ for good.

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
Simple here's how it goes down, easy going first round for PAC, JMM pressing hard edges it.
10-9 JMM
2nd round JMM tries to build on his success with the straight right and gets caught with a left uppercut.
10-8 PAC
3rd round JMM works hard to try get back some points PAC steps out peppering JMM and opens a cut over JMM's eye.
10-9 PAC
4th round JMM starts to look his age, PAC goes on to unrelenting attack scores 3 knockdowns fight is waived off and Dinamita is stopped for the first time.
That's my guess. ;D

Probably not a bad guess Killer, but I think the fight will go at least 9 rounds before the ref or JMM's corner stops the fight, and it could even go the full 12 rounds.

And that is sadly how it very well may go cause jmms ancient for his size, even at heavy he'd be considered old. Its still a pac jmm fight tho so who the hell knows...I wish these guys had fought each other ten times, but then again they probably would have put each other in comas by now....I think pac jmm 1 is right up there for me in terms of all time great fights just cause I got to see it live and to see jmm come back the way he did was amazing. Hope jmms got one last good one in him left and if he won he should ride off into the sunset.

I'm not sure if I agree, but they say the best ones always have one great fight left in them. Marquez looked horrible against Mayweather, (but then who doesn't) let's hope he can turn back time against Manny, and we get to see another super fight.

What worried more than how JMM looked in the PBF fight was how he looked in the Kastidis and Diaz I fights. Kastidis is a banger but he's no Pacquiao and he put JMM down once or twice in that fight. The scores were pretty close when JMM ko'd Kastidis. Diaz is a fighter that JMM should have dominated and he didn't. Losing to Mayweather is one thing, but fighting close fights with Diaz and Kastidis is another. Still, I see JMM as possibly Manny's kriptonite.

I don't, not now anyway, my gut feeling is, Marquez will give it his all and/or try to make a fight out of it, but Pacquiao lights him up, busts him up and stops him. This ain't the same Pacquiao, Marquez fought in 2008, he's an altogether different cat.

Still, me personally, I know not everyone else here, but because of my high regard for JMM's previous performances against Pacquiao, I would give Pacquiao a lot of credit if he brutally stops Marquez before the 5th round like people are predicting.

Makes sense to me bro, I may have to buy this Card, Timothy Bradley Jr. vs. Joel Casamayor, for Bradley's WBO junior welterweight title is part of the undercard. Sadly however, Casamayor might die of old age during the fight. :-X

Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
I see this one getting one sided after 5-6 rounds. I have alot of respect for JMM. A future hall of famer. But hes not fighting the guy who's hands move faster than his feet anymore. Roach has corrected his balance during his flurys which is why he's putting people on their ass that very few other could. And I'm getting a little sick of hearing Marquez whine that he won the first 2 fights. Mr. Marquez, rule one to winning a fight...STAY OFF YOUR ASS.
-
Re: Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III, who wins?
I actually hope manny looses to marquez and floyd looses his next fight and then this so called superfight which would probably end with some headbutt, foul or something else retarded will never happen. Would serve all parties involved right for stringing everyone along to stack promoters bank accts instead of just having the guys fight. Then we could get back to boxing as a sport not just two guys in it.....................all that aside pac will win easy. He was better then and sure as shit is better than marquez now.

I really want Marquez to win this. He has had a fantastic run and is one of the best thinking and adaptable fighters I've seen from start to near finish. We'll miss him when he's gone. My brain is over taking my heart though and I see Pacquiao winning down the stretch after some quality exchanges of mutual respect.

Pacquiao by TKO within 6 rounds. It won't even be close.

Manny Pacquaio at the Jimmy Kimmel Live. You'll notice that this video is a mirror-image.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2jJVz-7JAQ
But isn't that a strange way to promote a fight, by singing a duet with your opponent? And his singing with Kimmel is even worse. It's a good thing that Manny fights a lot better than he sings.

Well yeah, Manny fights like a pro, but sings like an amateur. And what's up with Pacquiao's ridiculous looking hair-dos, looks like a combination of one of the beatles, and a star trek character. :-X
