Well, that was coming. Purdy did nothing really to suggest he wasn't going to continue to take a beating. He didn't have the power to trouble Alexander, and lacked the workrate to trouble him on points.
I don't blame Barker for pulling him out. Bravery is all well and good, and Purdy could probably have gone on for another five rounds, but apart from continuing the beating what was the point.

I didn't see any signs of Alexander tiring tonight, certainly not from a constant punch attack from Purdy..who had two hands...and didn't act like it. He was being dominated with one hand and showed no adjustments at all knowing he was losing already, I think its that simple. I dont doubt his confidence but he was clearly outclassedQuote:
