Cunninghams KO seemed to come from sheer exhaustion of having a 7 foot monster lean on him for several rounds.
To talk of Fury as world class or a world beater at the moment is silly. He is a prospect. I doubt he will be that good and feel he will lose to the first genuine class heavyweight he fights. Ross disagrees and thinks he will be champ. Ross will also argue that Johnson and Cunningham are genuine class heavyweights where I will argue Johnson is shit and Cunningham is not going to beat a genusine heavyweight (again Adamek is not a genuine heavyweight).
Time will tell who is right and who is wrong but I dont think Fury will be fighting a genuine threat for a few years still. Id like to see him fight Chisora again and David Price but unlikely to happen. Also with all the shite he talks Id like to see him fight Wlad but I know he wont get in a ring with him.
But yet he can batter the fighter who will be contesting Vitalis title:vd:
He also finished Travis Walker quicker than Lucas Browne and Mike Perez and Pulev could only manage a points win;D
Deffinitly not a heavyweight;D:scratchchin:
Again it shows you know so little about boxing. Just because one fighter finished a fighter quicker then another that doesnt mean he is a bigger puncher. Fury went the distance with McDermot and then beat him in 9. He was beaten in 1 by Skelton. Aka Skelton is a monster puncher compared to Fury.
You said hes not a heavyweight?
If he can beat heavyweight fighters up better than other top heavyweights surely he must be a heavyweight? Or maybe the fighters he facing arent genuine heavies?
Maybe that fat blob Arreola should lose weight and be a cruiser. He doesnt look as muscled as Cunningham and Cunningham is ripped at 210lb. Arreola has no muscle on him. Same as Stiverne, just bloated.
These two contesting the WBC heavyweight title could well be the fattest title fight ever;D
No I said hes not a genuine heavyweight. He would still be a crusier if he could get decent paydays at that weight. Dont get me wrong he has been a good heavyweight fighter especially considering his size disadvantage.
Hes washed up now anyway imo.
He was 217lb and solid when he beat Arreola. You do realise a heavyweight is any fighter over 200lb right? Its only recently been that way as well. Cruiser used to be 190lb just a few years ago.
The greatest heavyweight ever was lighter than 217lb in his pomp...
Is he not a genuine heavy?
Or are you just talking shit based on what some fighters now weigh?
Yes I am comparing him to modern day heavyweights, not past heavyweights who were much smaller. If you want to argue that go to the other threads on it.
So at what weight is the cut off for "genuine" heavyweights?
Re: Thompson wants to fight Fury
No weight. A genuine heavyweight is one whos fought there all his career or who moved up because he couldnt make the lower weight anymore. Would you call Mayweather a genuine MW just because he could make 160?
Genuine is probably the wrong word, natural HW.

Would you say Chris Arreola is a genuine 250lb fighter? What should so eones genuine weight be? What should there genuine body fat percentage be to get to their genuine weight?
I think you are getting confused. There are genuine heavyweights and then there are big heavyweights.
Heavyweight is the only weight division with no cap so you will get big fighters in that weight, whereas if Floyd did fight at middle, his opponent could only weigh up to 160lb.
If Adamek can fight, look in shape at 217lb, beat up, stop earlier etc genuine heavyweights then he is a fucking genuine heavyweight!
Muhammed ali was a genuine heavyweight. He would not compete at cruiser today but Adamek weighed more than he did and was in shape!
Arreola will soon be fighting for the WBC title against little fatty Stiverne. Adamek probably beats the both of them and hes not a genuine heavy!

I doubt very much Arreola beats either of them judging by his latest performances.
I would think Ali would fight at Cruiser for at least some of his career if he was around nowadays
Re: Thompson wants to fight Fury
Fury will get his act together and get back on track 2014 and will easily beat Thompson.

I'm not sure fat Mick will risk Thompson for what amounts to very little interest and money.
Tysons plan was to get the small end of a massive purse fighting Haye, then pick up one or two fights with Chis & co. domestically, then retire and make way for Hughie.
The only money plan Tyson has got now is to get Fat Mick to negotiate with Dodgy Frank and fight Chis, by no means a foregone conclusion. If he beats Chis again, all well and good, he can then make Klit overtures but fat Mick will definitely keep him away from Wilder, poor opponents or not.
Got to hand it to Thompson, he's damn near retired one of our best 'prospects' in David Price and has the man who hid from David Price running scared.

Fury wouldnt have had the trouble Chisora did with Chisoras last few opponents. Chisora has run his course progression wise.

Chisora unlike Fury really has "no fear", can you imagine Tyson Fury lasting 12 rounds with Vitali? Del boy would fight Wilder tommorow, Fury wouldn't. Fury won't fight Thompson because he is too dangerous. After the likes of Haye, Scott and Vitali Chisora would have no such second thoughts and would actually be taking a step back to fight Fury.
A step back?
Fury beat the undefeated Chisora. He gave Chisora his first loss and this was when afury was himself out of shape compared to now and also after only 14 fights not nearly 30 like Haye.
It would be a step back for afury to go over old ground and would prove absolutely nothing. Chisora is getting hurt in every fight now and wont last long.
Why did Klitschko iffer the fight to Chisora rather than the man who beat him?;)
Re: Thompson wants to fight Fury
Some of u dudes are funny.. those of u who are picking a "fit" chisora over fury are the sames ones who picked an unfit chisora over fury few years back on the saddo league... how u gonna explain that?
Im one of the very few players who picked Fury to beat chisora on the saddoleague..
Fury needs a real fight..

I agree but I wont begrudge him a warm up to get back in the groove. He was getting some good momentum going until Haye butted in.
