Re: Looks like Haye Vitali is off and its Haye v Valuev
I'm stunned so many people are giving Haye shit for this. This is the smart thing to do. If he wins this, he brings the belt to the negotiating table. I don't believe for a second he'll mention anybody but a Klitschko after this fight.

It's definitely the smart thing to do. He has a far better chance against Valuev than either brother. And by winning he'll have beaten a top 10 heavyweight and have one of the belts. That will give him more negiotating leverage with the brothers for a future fight.
I think the reason people are giving Haye shit is because he has been talking trash for months and then backs out of two fights when he had a deal on the table. His team also behaved like amateurs, not dealing in good faith. If he had just been up front and said, "I don't like the deal so I'm going with Valuev" it would have been more understandable.

That's all he does is mention them. He obviously won't fight them. Gaye (like Kirk) I think secretly wishes to be gang banged by the Klitschko's. He's always mentioning there names. And the thought of actually having to hit one of them makes him physcially ill. Which is why he cowards out of the fights once there set

You want to have heard what the contract was if he fought Vitali Bitchsko. Immediate rematch, then Wladimir then Uncle Bitchsko gets wheel chaired into the ring. Sure I said that....but if you're in David Haye's position you don't try so God damned hard to sell these fights only to walk away while STILL talking smack. Had David simply said "I messed up botching the deal with Wladimir, now I'm going to earn a title shot" then hell I might have even cheered for him had he fought someone like John Ruiz or Sam Peter or whoever....but he didn't.
leftylee, it's a shame that you're so young and you're subject to your favorite fighter blatantly being a fraud....you're going to become very cynical following the likes of David Haye.
Hey David, Audley Harrison called, he wants his act back.
....talk all the shit you want to about the Klitschko's, but right now with the way Haye has acted if Wlad and Vitali had a little sister I doubt David Haye would fight her

Re: Looks like Haye Vitali is off and its Haye v Valuev
after reading the article on boxingscene I don't think I can be a fan of Haye anymore. Going on about being a slave fighter and how Valuev's a smelly beast, and his right hand will slay him like David slayed Goliath. Trash talk in general doesn't offend me, such horrible trash talk does though. He really does suck ;D I usually care much more about in the ring stuff but hell he never fights. What's the point? All my hopes are resting on Eddie Chambers, just like the beginning of Star Wars.
Of course I'll root for him against either of the Klitschko's but so will everybody else, nobody likes those douche bags.

Re: Looks like Haye Vitali is off and its Haye v Valuev
My whole deal on David Haye is ....
What the fuck is his problem?!?! Does he want to be Ali or Oprah, I do wonder sometimes, because he certainly LOOOOVES to talk and for a Prize Fighter he sure as shit hasn't laced up the gloves all that often.
Even the WBA strap is too good for David Haye...he'll lose, blame it on a hangnail and then start up with the talk just like Audley Harrison did after his first loss....and the next loss.....and the other one.....oh and the forth one too, well maybe Audley was all talked out by then
-
Re: Looks like Haye Vitali is off and its Haye v Valuev
I just can't wait to see if he pulls out of the Valuev fight.
Part of me wants him to; just to see what his avid supporters defend that with. The other part wants him to fight the guy and hopefully get pulverized into that place called obscurity.
Did he really call him a smelly beast?;D That's quite funny actually.
-
Re: Looks like Haye Vitali is off and its Haye v Valuev
And his God awful accent just makes things worse.....or as he would say "fings"...and now he'd be saying "Wa'evah" and I would try not to kill him with my bare hands....sorry Brits, but I don't cotton to David Haye and his persona, you talk trash like that and you stand up like a man and fight it out, win or lose (it would have been lose for Haye, no doubt)....but you take your whupping like a man and you don't tuck tail and run like a little punk, which is what Haye has done TWICE!
I really fear for his life if he ever dares fight Wlad or Vitali now...they are not amused.
...oh and I thought I would never post this but, what the heck, Go Valuev!

It's now 8 months since David Haye's introduction to being a full time heavyweight and he has had only the fight vs Monte Barrett...Wladimir has fought twice and Vitali has fought once in the ring and once in court since November 2008...my point is even the CHAMPIONS of the division have been more active than David Haye at heavyweight, which shouldn't happen...hell even Nicolay Valuev has fought more recently than David Haye! That is just fucking sad.
The good news is we'll more than likely get to see Vitali-Cris Arreola which will be a good solid fight, one which the fans will want to see and one where both sides shouldn't have much to argue about at the negotiating table. Hell at this point, I would even leave the Oleg Maskaev option open at this point in time...might as well get some rounds in.
David Haye has gone out of his way to be a prick just to get a shot at one of the Klitschko's only to back out both times he's had the chance to fight them. Seems to me David Haye may want a belt, but he doesn't want to actually have to fight Wlad or Vitali to get one. While I think this Valuev fight is faaaaar better for his career, I think the way he has gone about his business is an absolute joke. I think perhaps at the last minute he was talked out of fighting Vitali by his management who knew like everyone else that he didn't stand a chance. Sure Valuev is big, but I have my doubts about his ability to take a shot and he damn sure can't punch, BUT I still think the big oaf should be the betting favorite as #1 He's hard to beat on the cards and #2 We don't know how David will react to getting hit or just the sheer size of Valuev, that may cause David problems.

A Bisping/Hatton type KO is too good for David Haye...that is what he has accomplished with all his talk and all his hype, he has made me want to see him litterally tortured in the ring! I want to see a Oleg Maskaev-Hasim Rahman I KO...I want Haye to get sparked, fall through the ropes, and right into Jim Lampley's lap and to be honest I don't give a shit who does it, I'd even be happy if John Ruiz did it....that is how much I hate David Haye, I abhor David Haye!
You just can't deal with the fact that both your boys bottled fighting Haye.

At some point in time both of them ducked out of the fight. originally it was vitali, then it was Junior, now it's Vitali again.

Re: Looks like Haye Vitali is off and its Haye v Valuev
I supported Haye, even though I thought he`d get murdered in there, for bringing excitement to a division that was essentially a joke. I guess he was in on the joke, must have been, and decided to make it bigger. For that is what all this does for the division. Makes boxing people point and laugh, makes them mock.
It sucks really. Very disappointing for the division and a huge let down by Haye. Oh well, bring on the fat men and freaks, the dodgers, the shit-talkers, and lalala and HW life goes on; and no one is going to wanna see it, or really care...

I have never neg repped a poster with as many posts as you, but you--being retarded and all--- left me with no choice. you are simply blind to any reality. I don't like your politics and I hate your boxing opinions. Some of what you say is simply incorrect.
I like Lefty alot, and I know he is a huge Haye fan, so I try to curb my language......but you don't even see him in here like yourself. This is a fools match. I seriosuly think Kirkland is Yours Truly himself- if he isn't he is dumber than I think he is! RADIO RADIO. No one ever goes full retard.

how can you say that , david haye chased them pretty much straight away as soon as he moved up to HW, the problem is that the klitchsko brothers are a national treasure and the german goverment want them to reign as champs for as long as the social veiwing is making them money, look at the franchise for christ sake!!! david just wants a title shot thats a simple as it get wheather its for the WBC IBF IBO or the WBA or WBO he dont care, valuev isnt even a good fighter non of them are the only true fighter is vitali but he wants to keep safe and save himself the upset of another defeat to an englishman, if vitali was champ before the lewis fight he would have never fought lewis because his goverment wouldnt allow it and lewis would have had to go to germany and get cheated if it went to points, fair enough david haye is a money man and if the doe aint good enough then he aint gonna fight, ok ill give that one! but let me assure you of one thing brother if the fight had been made for either wvlad or vitali david hatye would destroy them no questions about it, he is too fast for them, he would counter their jab the only thing they have and spark them out, personally i would like to see them throw a super six fight in the hw division like they are doing with the super mw, then we would see who is the man at hw right now.

It's probably more down to the fact he doesn't want to be tied into a contract where he practically has to fight them until they beat him. Little does he know, it would only be a one fight contract anyway if he was to fight Vitali first.

Re: Looks like Haye Vitali is off and its Haye v Valuev
Exactly why would Haye want to be tied into a round robin with the Klits.
Sure haye has a big mouth and is an easy target, but if Arreola or any other Heavy was given those conditions, everyone would get sour toward the klits

But the likes of arreola/chambers etc havent spent the last 18months claiming how they`d knock both guys spark out given the opportunity.
Im all for someone mouthing off if they are indeed genuinely confident and ready to fight the person they are spouting off about. If however they pussy foot around both guys like haye has done you have to take them with a grain of salt.

Obviously this is mutilayered with a ton of hair on it. Haye is a pain in the ass with a loudmouth, but I love what he brings to the table he is a great talent and showman. problem is he will have not fought for 10 months, and while I enjoy him as a prize fighter, with him not fighting he is just another mouthy prick who should be smased in the face with a coal shovel.
So I can see how his detractors want him in an electric chair when even his stanchest supporters are growing weary, but the Setanta and back debacle was a unique circumstance and as far as Vitali goes he is the best brother of the 2 and was the lineal Heavy before his brother backed into the title. Vitali is 2x as tough as Wlad with an iron chin and terminator type will. I'm sure when everyone looked at the proposed deal and weighed it out, ultimately the juice wasn't worth the squeeze at this point.
Haye will beat Valuev and then will have a strap to bring to the party and we'll at best close the gap in the contract stipulations with the Klits, besides Valuev is a puss who wouldnt fight my mother and has been harboring a title he has been gifted a few times already, be nice to see David lighten Niks waist a little and put that title in the real mix

Come november haye would of officially had 1 fight in the last 20 months. The guy is a 30 year old man who claims he is coming towards the end of his career despite being only 20 fights in and who`s career highlight was beating enzo maccarinelli which he has fed off now for the last 2 years.
Ive no issue with david haye the person, heavyweight boxing desperately needs egos like him especially in this day and age. What f*cks me off time and time again though is that he seems to believe he is now capable of being a very unique boxer who only fights once a year ala:trinidad, hopkins etc despite the fact the man has nothing to his CV to suggest he should be doing so and most including me are quite convinced he is living off an overfed reputation that he knows full well will be fully exposed once he gets in a ring with either klitschko (especially vitali as you have pointed out already)

Re: Looks like Haye Vitali is off and its Haye v Valuev
He's probably gone for more money with valuev but after all the talk i wanted to see him fight at least one klit. I think he'll give valuev hell though and have him quit on his stool ala Golota vs Tyson.

Sam isn't retired, I think he's trying to get his life back in order, he's fighting this weekend vs Marcus McGee.
Sam Peter is 28, he's got a lot of youth left in him if he can change his style and rededicate himself he can be competitive with the top rated contenders. I don't think that is out of the question, but he has to be 100% about getting better, he has to improve his defense, his handspeed, and he has to be dedicated to winning.
I want to see how he would do against Andrew Golota or Ray Austin before I make up my mind.
David Haye is a joke

What's Sam Peter doing these days? I'd think that would be a decent fight and give Haye at least more rspectability if he wins. Sam retired now or something:confused:
Spending his days in the local McDonalds.

Lyle, when we had a conversation about Haye a while ago, you told me he didn't deserve a shot at the Klitschko's. When I questioned you if you would feel better about him getting a title shot if he fought against Valuev or Chagaev first, you said you would. So now that he's done what you would have preferred him to do, why are you using the fact that he doesn't want to be tied to a 3 fight Klitschko deal for shitty money as a way of saying he's scared. Who in their right mind would want shitty money for the first fight, then if you won and became champion, still take the shitty money in the rematch...and then the shitty money against the brother?
So I'll flip it and ask you this question...
If the Klitschko's are so confident of giving Haye a beating for 12 rounds leaving him with a pizza face, then why do they have a rematch clause, and a clause saying if he wins the rematch that he has to fight the brother?
All that suggests right there is that the Klitschko's believe there is a serious chance of David Haye winning.

The contract he had signed to fight Wlad is the same contract they gave him with Vitalis name on it was ok before the "back injury" what changed !!
any heavyweight has a chance of beating any other but you have to get in the ring to fight first
Hayes inactivity is a joke didn't he say he was going to clean up the division

Well to be honest yes I did say exactly what you posted about Haye not deserving a title shot or a fight with Wlad or Vitali. HOWEVER the way David Haye went about getting this shot at Valuev was not very professional.
Also rematch clauses are common place Lennox Lewis-Hasim Rahman springs to mind as a fight that had a rematch clause....was Lennox scared of Rahman or was he just making a solid fight contract???
Listen, you can try and spin David Haye any way you want to, it's not going to change the FACT that all he has done for the last 8 months is run his fucking mouth like a little punk

I see where you are coming from with Haye. He is a loud mouth. He does come off sounding like a cocky arsehole who runs his mouth. He hasn't fought for 8 months. He has done alot of talking about the Klitschko's and hasn't backed it up yet.
And yes...while rematch clauses are common practice, I think 2 suggests they're worried. If you beat 1 brother twice, you have to fight the other next. C'mon? If Wlad was so sure Haye was getting a beating for 12 rounds and a Pizza face, then why does he need a big big brother clause in the contract?
Sonny78, the financial benefits of the Wlad contract would have been better. Reason for this is that Haye had the British TV rights and pretty much nothing else. However, Setanta were paying mega money to outbid Sky for boxing, and they would have paid well. However, they're now out of business and since ITV are pulling out of Boxing, the only TV company that are willing to pay out for Boxing in the UK now is Sky. Since they have no competition, there is no bidding war, so they won't be paying the same amount that Setanta were, hence why Haye probably said he was not signing that deal again.
If Haye beats Valuev and becomes WBA Champion, he has much better bargaining power with the Klitschko's. It's the smart thing to do from a business point of view.
