I am the OP and your perspective is exactly what I am referring to as abusive and dangerous. This perspective of "we have to do what is best for one's safety" is dangerous precisely because once the STATE takes on that Big Brother role, there is no limit, the sky is the limit.
If there is even a 0.00000002% chance that that man over there in the airport is a terrorist, we must now accept that "better safe than sorry" bullshit, and the TSA gets to stick their hands down everyone's pants before boarding an airliner.

the mayweathers are unimpressed with pac's string of victories over larger but "flawed" foes. then if that's the case why are they worried.

If I were Manny and i were clean? I'd be damned if I'd put money in the pocket of a guy who singled me out without an ounce of evidence and tried to ruin my reputation. Screw that!
Floyd is a fighter, that's all. He's not a commission he's not an imposer of rules where a commission already has standards.
Floyd completely blew this. Here is what he should have done. He should have put out a press release that said "Drug use is rampant among our young people and is a scourge on our society. Boxing is my greatest love and i want that sport to set an example for other sports that athletes can and do succeed without PED's. I urge my fellow champions, Shane Mosely, Manny Pacquiao, Tim Bradley, Nonito Donaire, Bernard Hopkins (and 3-4 more names) to join me in appealing to the Nevada, New York and New Jersey Commissions, in their roles as leaders, to adopt the strictest available protocols. We, the undersigned, agree to fight under these protocols and top pay for such testing for everyone fighting on a card in which we participate."
THAT would have given him some moral standing. As it is? he's just playing mind games.
if i were manny and i were clean i wouldnt hesitate to take the blood test and wave the results in his face
would make floyd look pretty silly
as it is mannys refusal and daft excuses make it more suspicious. And after all that if i were floyd i wouldnt fight without the tests
having said that i havent watched the developments for a while now, didnt manny agree to the tests in the end?
It depends how you view your honor I suppose. If a boss walked up to me, singled me out for no reason in front of the entire company and required that I take that test? I (having never taken a drug in my life) would quit on the spot. The notion that someone has to address outrageous accusations is sheer lunacy. If I called you a pedophile, would you feel the need to defend yourself by giving me access to your pc so I could check for kiddy stuff? I'd be rightly condemned for being so irresponsible in my accusation.
Last negotiation I think was Manny agreeing to random tests up until 14 days before the fight and another in the locker room right afterwards.
I like your analogy but it does not take an opponents health into consideration. The more apt analogy is a child that habitually rubs his groin area is perceived to be a victim by child abuse by child services and school faculty. The parents are called into question and their integrity means nothing. What matters is the the child's safety. Which in this this unprecedent situation has PAC jumping up many weights and hitting opponents harder than than that have ever been hit ( they claim) by fighters of that natural weight class. There is a saying that is it seems to be to good there's probably something wrong. Back to my claim the parents have to prove they are not violating the child and if there is no foul play and if they really have love for the child there is no limit as to what they will do to set things straight. Avoidance is not an option !
I don't think that quite works. I mean Floyd is the one rubbing his groin and they've never been in the ring together. The authorities wouldn't take someone off the street who has never been alone with the child and prosecute.

You killed this thread. Hornfinger won't be back here again.
But I see him creating havoc in another thread. ;D
What the Pactards failed to mention is that this test we are talking about in school.....yha the test you said someone said you cheated on. You want to know why? Cause you went from getting C's to getting A's and you won't show anyone where you came up with your methods for gaining this much more knowledge. So now they want you to take the test randomly and the teacher won't tell you what's going to be on the test or what day. Any student can study to pass a test they are familiar with. But every student is afraid of the random test they are unaware of what the questions are. Because when the teacher tells you whats going to be on the test then of course you will pass. Or we could say in reality these pro's been beating steroid tests for years. So reality is there is a reason the classmate is telling the teacher. And quite frankly the teacher should be asking but see the teacher in this case in the boxing world doesn't want to disrupt the lining of his pockets.

Re: WTF is PBF demanding w/ those Blood Tests???
I have always been a Pac fan for over 10yrs. I never thought back in 02-03 to even ponder him fighting Floyd. Even years later the thought never crossed my mind. So I can say I was a fan of both. I mean in all reality who wasn't? There weren't any Pac Haters before the whole "Accusations" started. At least I don't recall many except those who think JMM got robbed. So for myself I actually didn't have any disgust for the guy at all. But when he refused to take the test I thought why? Why would someone refuse a test. Sure go ahead and blame Floyd and say it's all his fault and all his lies... but if it wasn't Floyd it would be someone else. But all he would have to do is say yes and if Floyd made another demand then it's fuck Floyds B.S. Because fact is before Pac went and beat Floyds leftovers you all had Floyd P4P #1 so Floyd asking for a drug test isn't much to ask for. As some of you have stated the bigger champion can do what he wants And the simple fact is Pac's excuses are almost those of what a 3yr old might say. Seriously I started wondering if he gets his way so much in his home country that he doesn't even have to talk like a normal person. He sounds disabled. And he also can be rebutted on EVERY excuse he makes. He's not scared of needles. Hes taken blood and been in the gym the next day and everything else......
Plain and simple Pac won't take the test. He won't even call Floyds bluff. But the average Pactard is also a Floyd hater. And you guys could say vice versa. I'm a Floyd fan but I give it a few more months and if he doesn't seriously call Manny out then fuck Floyd too. And when I mean call out I mean let's put some pressure on Manny. Let's sign a contract and send it over. Manny will need to man up and take stupid 50million dollar test.

Just for the information of everybody.... Manny had been and is still calling Floyd to fight him.
Floyd is afraid that his zero will be tarnished so he won't fight Pac.
To be honest, I seriously think that Pac's overall skill ( speed, AGRESSIVENESS, defense and strategy) is better than Floyd and Pac's skill is GROSSLY UNDERRATED by many and most of his foes.
They would only find it out when they experience it first hand and when it is too late already.
He just made Dela Hoya, Margarito, Cotto and Shane looked like D or C type of fighters.
I will stand by what I see in Pac.
If Mayweather engages Pac, he will surely get knocked down.
If he runs around Pac, he will look like a Shane-desperately-trying-to-survive and Pac will win by UD.
If this fight happens, I will surely make a lifetime sig bet.

Sorry, but only a chowderhead would say a three division lineal champ was in any way analagous to a "C" student. Manny was a GREAT fighter before he ever met Oscar De La Hoya.

Again I knew people would pick apart any analogy.......I wasn't referring to him and his skill as an actual C fighter. Let's start over... How about he was a B fighter and became an A fighter so fast that it hadn't been done. This wasn't an attempt to put him down. Quite frankly I know you guys think I am a Pac Hater. But when you stand behind someone and they let you down you get upset. I just thought Manny would agree instantly when it came about and that in itself would be calling Floyd's bluff. Hater? Maybe but put it this way...... when my father was on his death bed I wasn't bragging how he needed to see Floyd fight.....It was Manny I was telling him about. I will try and refrain from shit talk....It's pointless I know. And to be honest I respect my elders and those who know more. I'm only 32. The other day when I was going back and fourth with what's his face on here and he mentioned he was in his 60's I felt like shit. I wouldn't even argue with an elder. It's respect. And apologies to all. If it's Floyd ducking then Manny should just say hes taking the test and Floyd sends the papers over. Floyd doesn't send them then hes a bitch. If he does and Manny dodges then he is. This might be the first fight where we have two boxers who arent scared of each other. Maybe the middle people are scared to make it really happen?

If Pac said he wouldn't fight Floyd unless he wore "X" gloves should they find a middle ground glove or throw the fight away? I just want the shit to happen as much as all. I do think Floyd plays games and if Manny agreed Floyd might lay more games but Manny calling him out as in signing papers and making it official would be a great thing.
There was also no proof I stole over a half million dollars in Plasmas one year. But I knew if I took the lie detector I would be guilty. So instead of taking the test I cried "False Accusations."

I agree with the above statements.
The thing is when Manny came up with the excuses with regards to not accepting Floyd's drug test terms in the first negotiation, I was one of those who criticized him. And I'm a pacfan! I wish he called in Floyd's bluff because I truly think that Mayweather is just trying to find a way out of the fight. The ball was tossed in Manny's court and he blew it. Although I believe he had not used any PED or whatever drugs they accused him of, his behavior created a suspicion (no matter how small it is) to be implanted at the back of my mind. And to think that Manny tried to seek a compromise then by agreeing to lowering the cut-off date for the blood test.
Forward to the second negotiation, Manny accepted Floyd's drug test demand. The ball is now in Floyd's court. Whatever suspicion I have had been erased. Now, Floyd's excuses as to why the second negotiation failed (like there was no negotiation at all or going on vacation) reinforced my earlier belief that he was indeed ducking Manny. Mayweather did not even sought a compromise in this negotiation.

Very good point..... I hear you. Everything can be argued. I just think Pac let me down and in my book looks guilty. Who wouldn't take a test for 50milli? Because saying Floyd is willing to pass 50milli over a test is fine in my book. Especially with Pacs B.S. excuses.. Anyways Pac needs to just put Floyd on blast and call him out. A "Real" call out. Why don't pac fans want manny to take a test? Surely pacfans should want him to take a test, pass it and then rub it in the face of every floyd fan and doubter etc... To me I don't think pacfans are convinced. To me they seem scared he might fail the test.
But this is why i think pacfans are not boxing fans, they're just pacfrans. Any boxing fan would want to see stricter testing and more importantly a fair playing field in every fight. In my view pac fans don't want this cuz they dont want their boy to take a test.
If your not for testing, fair fights and an even playing field then you ain't a fan of boxing.

Pac let me down too in the first negotiation but he made up for it in the second.
It's unfair to put the blame on Manny for not taking the test for 50 million (I don't think it's 50 million) and yet it's fine for Floyd to pass it over a test.
Pac does not call out his opponents. He just respond to media questions about whether he would be willing to fight such an opponent. Floyd is the one who calls out his opponents. After Mayweather beat Mosley, he called out Pacquiao but when Manny agreed to his blood test demand he went on vacation.
Floyd Mayweather Jr calls out Manny Pacquiao after beating Shane Mosley | Sport | guardian.co.uk
Let us know ahead of time when you're going to shit on Floyd's driveway so that we can have our videos ready. Are the media okey to attend?
Finally, I just want to know what your response to this will be. Would you agree to take a lie detector test if your accuser and not law enforcement or the court is the one insisting that you take it? If it was me, I won't and I'll tell him to go to hell.

Manny has already been taking the test as required in every fight! But he finally compromised and agreed to Floyd's drug test demand with a cut-off of 14 days. If the cut-off day for the Mayweather-Mosley fight (with someone who is an admitted drug/PED user) is 18 days, then 14 days should be good enough.
So you're a boxing fan. Have you done anything to see stricter testing? Have you send letters to the boxing commissions or to the media with regards to this? Has Floyd done this after the collapse of the first negotiation with Manny? Did you raise an uproar when Floyd did not even the playing field by coming in over the weight limit in his fight with Marquez?

Required test isn't sufficiant, it's urine and no random. Thats a cop out answer.
14 day cut off isn't a random test.
Neither floyd or shane were told their last test was 18 days out for all they knew the
could've been tested again hence the word 'random'
And you finish off with more unrelated floyd vs manny crap to dodge the issue and not have to answer the point. You don't want him to take a test cuz you think he might fail. I'm flattered that you think letters and emails from me would carry enough weight to change the rules of drug testing in boxing.
Thank you good night.

Required test had been sufficient until Floyd came up with that BS. It still is sufficient in all fights.
14 day cut off isn't a random test.
But the 14 day cut off ws good enough for Floyd in the first negotiation. Now you also want to act as the boxing commissioner and insist that's not good enough. And you are not even the one fighting so what's your problem.
Neither floyd or shane were told their last test was 18 days out for all they knew the
could've been tested again hence the word 'random'
So why were you not in an uproar that they were only tested until 18 days before the fight. Weren't you concerned that Shane might have cheated AGAIN in those 17 days leading up to the fight?
And you finish off with more unrelated floyd vs manny crap to dodge the issue and not have to answer the point. You don't want him to take a test cuz you think he might fail. I'm flattered that you think letters and emails from me would carry enough weight to change the rules of drug testing in boxing.
Either you have not read my previous post or just don't understand them. I criticized Manny for not giving in to Floyd's drug test demand in the first negotiation. I wanted him to just give in for the fight to happen but did not place the entire blame on him. Now that Manny already agreed to the demand, what more can you ask for?
I didn't say letters and e-mails from you carry enough weight to change the rules. You implied that, as a boxing fan, you would want stricter testing. Is there any PROOF that you at least advocated for this even before the Pacquiao-Mayweather fiasco? Or all you did about this is criticize Manny?
Thank you good night.
Thank you, too, but it's afternoon to me..
You haven't answered any of my questions in the last paragraph.

Required test is a urine test, and won't detect modern steroids. FACT. So it's not sufficiant. FACT
Might have been good enough for Floyd but it's not good enough for me because then it's not Random. Fact
I wasn't in up roar beacuse (to repeat myself again for the millionth time, honestly are you really that dumb?) The fighters didn't know their last test was 18 days out. ITS A RANDOM TEST! Shane would've been taking amassive risk, I doubt he would've taken the risk, same for floyd.
Nope i'm not being drawn into unrelated crap. Show me a clean blood test for manny and I'll believe he's clean.
Wow you've been Owned twice in the same day by the same person on the same subject. Sucks to be you...

Re: WTF is PBF demanding w/ those Blood Tests???
Well if you want to get on the subject of "who is so-and-so to demand special rules", people forget that Manny demanded that Floyd be fined 10 MILLION DOLLARS for every pound he came in overweight. Show me the AC rule that says "a fighter shall be fined 10 MILLION for every pound he comes in overweight".
People also forget that Manny demanded Cotto defend his welterweight belt at a CATCHWEIGHT. When have you ever seen a 147lb title being contested at a weight other than 147lbs?
So why does Manny get a free pass for this crap, while Floyd is labelled a ducker for demanding stricter drug testing? It's a legitimite request because drug testing in boxing (and a lot of pro sports in general) is an absolute joke.

Not to mention all the unofficial weight classes manny chooses to fight at.....

Here's the difference. Floyd had blown his cotnracted weight with JMM. In other words Manny had a REASON for that requirment. Floyd had previously shown bad faith.
On nthe 147 division being defended at a catchweight? Has happened MANY times. Here's just a few. Armstrong-Ross, Walcott-Gans, Armstrong-Jenkins and Griffith-Charnely.

Here's another thing.
That's an easy one. PROOF is he hasn't failed a drug test yet. Blood test are not the standard set by the commission. Pacquiao has never failed nor come up with questionable results on the standard testing. Give me proof he's on steroids?

Re: WTF is PBF demanding w/ those Blood Tests???
Something about this whole discussion puzzles me.
When did we as a culture stop shaming people for making unsubstantiated allegations like this?
-
Re: WTF is PBF demanding w/ those Blood Tests???
we are just going around in circles. first off there is a standard in drug testing in boxing. pac obliges to that drug testing. second in the 2nd negotiations pac agreed to pbf's demands. fight still didnt pushed thru cause pbf needs a vacation.
hornfinger will keep on winning the argument of "random blood tests for pac" until the boxing drug test standard includes that in their rule. till then hornfinger is asking for the impossible. do yourself a favor, on pacs next fight go there personally beg them to take blood tests and pay for it. that way youll know for sure if pacs blood is clean.

Forward to the second negotiation, Manny accepted Floyd's drug test demand. The ball is now in Floyd's court. Whatever suspicion I have had been erased. Very good point..... I hear you. Everything can be argued.
I just think Pac let me down and in my book looks guilty.
Who wouldn't take a test for 50milli? Because saying Floyd is willing to pass 50milli over a test is fine in my book. Especially with Pacs B.S. excuses.. Anyways
Pac needs to just put Floyd on blast and call him out. A "Real" call out. I mean papers and shit. Everyone is so fast to say Pac agreed or agrees but his shit is always coming up with new lame excuses. HE needs to stick to one story. And Floyd stick to the one demand. If Manny agrees on paper and Floyd comes up with new shit I will personally take a shit outside Floyds house. But it has to be proven. And I give all of you my word. This I swear on my dead father.
I will shit outside on Floyds driveway. And we can You Tube it like all of Floyds other rant videos and call it "Floyd Got Shit On"
Pac let me down too in the first negotiation but he made up for it in the second.
Remember I said if Manny signs and sends shit over and I want proof....
And finally since your asking me about the law enforcement not asking but my accuser....I will reply accordingly since everyone trys to pick these analogies apart in order to benefit PAC
If taking the test was to either save my job or lose my job because my accuser isn't the law but it's my boss. And my boss has reason to wonder because of rumors. And my boss isn't just making me take it....the others will take it too. Then no, I won't take the test I will come up with a bullshit excuse because I'm guilty. If I wasn't guilty I would rather take the test and keep my job. But in this case I would just say that my boss is false accusing me and point all blame to them and walk out instead of understanding the entire situation. Then I will huff and puff and say no job is worth these false accusations. I will just play my good guy card and get crazy man that I would even be considered. Cause that's exactly what I did...just like Pac does. And it worked and it works for him.
And I was a die hard Pac fan until he said no to the test.....anything after him saying no as in him agreeing is all bullshit... I don't believe he ever agreed to anything because anytime he is asked he never says anything. It's all bullshit from Bob to keep Manny from losing. Bob dick rides his top fighter. You can always twist the analogies to benefit Pac. Just like the B.S. article that recently came out that HGH is detectable now in urine. Oh god here we go....the Pactard won't take the time to read the article they will just jump on Floyd.

There was also no proof I stole over a half million dollars in Plasmas one year. But I knew if I took the lie detector I would be guilty. So instead of taking the test I cried "False Accusations."
But would you agree to take the lie detector test if it's your accuser and not law enforcement or the court who is insisting that you take it?
Cause Oscar was the greatest ever just like Floyd was until they left Bob
The problem with your analogy is... Floyd Mayweather Jr is not the boss.
State Athletic Commision is. ;)
If Manny doesn't want walk away from 50 million then he does what Floyd wants as if I wanted to keep my job I do what my employer asks. Just like I was asked. You can always twist the analogies to benefit Pac. Just like the B.S. article that recently came out that HGH is detectable now in urine. Oh god here we go....the Pactard won't take the time to read the article they will just jump on Floyd.
Floyd is not Keith Kizer. And you don't turn steroid expert just by reading news articles.

And it isn't like Manny is going to lose a job. There is a lot of it for him and he even has a choice of the job (opponent, that is).

Yes, Horn, where is it? Where is the proof? Show me the proof and I'll be the number 1 Pachater in this forum. I'll do what mafiajoey intents to do with Floyd, shit on Pac's driveway and everyone can video it for youtube.
Where is the proof???!!!

Armstrong-Ross required both a MAXIMUM weight from Ross and a MINIMUM weight from Armstrong. The others were non-title fights. But there have been other catchweight title fights at 147 and other divisions) , I'll get more names.
BTW none of the 147 fights Manny has been involved with were title fights in any meaningful sense either.

I want proof he's not on roids.
Here's another thing.
That's an easy one. PROOF is he hasn't failed a drug test yet. Blood test are not the standard set by the commission. Pacquiao has never failed nor come up with questionable results on the standard testing. Give me proof he's on steroids?
When's he passed a random blood test?
You've got to be an uneducated muppet to think that a urine test will detect any modern day steroids or testosterone boosters not to mention growth hormones.
The standard test is inadequate everyone knows that.
Wheres the clean blood test results?
I'm still waiting for undisputeable proof he's clean.
