Poland uneasy about Russian invasion after events in Ukraine | WashingtonExaminer.com
Just like old times comrades!
Budapest Convention of 1994: US, Great Britain, and Russia all signed a treaty saying if Ukraine got rid of nuclear warheads then those 3 parties would guarantee the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
That treaty is now null and void due to Russia's unprovoked invasion and annexation of Crimea
Buuuuut let's give sanctions more time eh? Allow them to kill some Jews before we get started eh? Right comrades?
Are the Russians that stupid that they havent considered the start of the next big war could be the last big one ever on Earth? Its the only real thing thats stopped all the other insane fuckwits firing off more than their mouths over the last 20 or so years, even Nth Korea hasnt been that stupid to move on others land and thats saying something.
If its gets nasty in the ring the audience sometimes jumps in and has a shot at the fighters too hope this doesnt turn into that sort of senario becuase we 'the white Christian west' have many enemies that would love to see the back side of us for once; the gutless rat bastards.
Hello Lyle nice to see you back too.
Turns out terrorist don't just hide in caves eating goat. They sit on Cnn chain smoking and laughing at the rest of us, in ski masks. The propaganda and manipulation in order to cause tension and civil unrest is enough to make the other super powers blush. Apparently Putin has been taking notes. Just flash back and think how trumped up and pumped we all followed the bait and switch when we heard "Sad'am is the new Hitler and we can't wait for a MUSHROOM CLOUD :o" repeated 1001 times. Bunch of sheep. Its an amazing situation really. Fuck me..answers???
Let's not sit back with the Western propaganda overdrive ringing in our ears and pretend that Russia caused this. Are we not forgetting that 5 billion pounds of US money has been spent creating unrest, that the democratically elected government was unjustly framed for killing protesters, and that what ensued was a coup that has brought in kleptocrats and neo Nazi's. What was Putin supposed to do? Sit back and allow his military interests in the Ukraine to be taken over. This is Russias border. What would America do if Putin forced the US out of Cuba? I doubt they would be so diplomatic. Russia gave the people of Crimea a vote, which is more than the people of Ukraine have had. The Ukraine has been taken over and their currency has depreciated against gold almost 70% since. No good can come of this and the people are quite aware of what a hell hole the EU is and of course Russians in the East are rising up and saying we don't want any part of this. It's a poor country anyway and it's being used as a pawn because the West is collapsing and need to divert attention with good old fashioned shenanigans and Putin demonising.
We aren't even trying to pretend to be the good guys here and it shows considerable portions of the Western media to be nothing more than slogan producers for the elite. The Daily Mail and its Royal family overdrive and claims that Russia is starting WW3 are particularly vile. Look closer to home for the real enemy, they are the ones reducing quality of life, and causing this around the world. Don't swallow their kool-aid. They need to create a new bogey man, we have seen this script before, don't follow it.
This is a topic that troubles me as the mainstream media simply does not correct its lies and errors. A German documentary has revealed quite clearly that the Ukrainian government DID NOT shoot protesters or even their own police. That was supposedly the catalyst for the coup, but it was an event that simply DID NOT happen according to the American and British narrative. There is a common pattern of snipers though in the countries that America wants to see toppled and in fact at one stage they were even considering snipers on the occupy movement and were in fact aiming snipers at the Bundy ranch. The snipers in the Ukraine was in essence one of Obama's WMD moments along with the Assad and chemical weapons line in Syria. We are telling lies and it is being revealed as such, but our media continues with the 'Russia bad, We good' mantra. It's following the same old patterns to a tee.
Where is the vote for the Ukrainian people to be free and to have a government by and for the people and for that alone. They should default on their national debts and start afresh. Nation after nation is in bondage to international finance and it is absurd considering the most powerful individuals don't pay any taxes and the most powerful countries only accumulate debt. But you the Ukraine must restructure and make the poor people poorer. It's sick and this whole nonsense about Putin is ludicrous. Nobody is listening to what the people of the country want and we should. It is their homeland.
And a final post before I depart to spring suns and parks of green and quacking ducks in an effort to escape the oppressive odor of geopolitics which I have to escape from as it casts a weary shadow upon my soul. Welcome back, Lyle.
It would actually be more common sense if we gave amnesty to whoever wanted out of the place to resettle here or in the US. Sell their holdings businesses etc off to Russia for a grand old price and resettle them up over here and in the States in palatal homes or whatever else they'll all be able to afford, as they could bring a lot of wealth ,building works and other related growths to us. Let Russia have it with those who want to stay under their rule, for a price, (a one off price). So our social structures for the term of their lives never suffers from the deal, if anything we gain wealth and smart business people and assured growth thats it. Then fuck Russia leave em to it,no help no dealings nothing give them enough rope and watch them hang themselves and crumble again like last time.
As it stands Russia has trillions invested into England as its second preferred safe ground to park cash into land holdings etc,so this could all become very interesting.
I think you are missing the point that the Ukraine has been stolen from the Ukrainian people by Western financial terrorists and thugs. All Russia has done is take a tiny portion of the country who identify themselves largely as Russian and who voted to stay with Russia. They had a choice and they exercised it. The rest of the Ukraine has been given no choice in any of this.
Look what has happened to the Ukraine under the puppet pro international finance group already. The currency has been in freefall, their gold has been stolen, and energy prices are going to go up dramatically. Already the financial terrorists are looking to capitalise and the West is going to instigate war by arming the Ukraine. This is similar to the Cuban missile crisis. They are prodding and prodding and it is a wonder Putin has remained so calm in the face of such brazen behaviour.
Russia does not want the Ukraine and has repeatedly said as much. The West does want the Ukraine and 5bn dollars, a false flag sniper attack, and coup attests to that fact. They have the Ukraine and none of this is about the people when it should be.
Putin is no saint, but he defends Russian interests and has been steadily growing the Russian middle class over 20 years. The West meanwhile has been decimating its own middle class and is in immoral war after war. Putin will defend Russian people and looking at what is happening it is no wonder that Russians in the East of the Ukraine want out of this forced occupation by the West. The West has become grotesquely akin to Communist Russia and this time I wouldn't be so sure that Russia is going to fall. Their fundamentals are now more in place, whilst the West is in obvious freefall and has only force to bargain with.
Ideally people would like their country to be a free one and though massively corrupt it was a democratic nation until a Western backed coup took place. I am all for popular uprisings and demands for change, but you don't do it based on white envelopes from foreign backers. You certainly don't support aspiring Nazi's. We've seen how it works time and time again. Always good for the Nazi's, but not for the rest who go into servitude.
Miles are you denying the reality of Russians accosting Ukrainian Jews leaving synagogue ? That is quite scarily Nazi like behaviour. Do not be so quick to swallow Alex Jones and infowars prescription. The mainstream media are not the only ones peddling half truths.
That is very odd behavior, but I would need to read more about that. I read a variety of US sources, Europeans sources and try to come to my own conclusions. Basically having worked in a University, I know the mentality of the people working in them and the same extends to media. You have a lot of people printing crap to make their jobs secure.
I have made many points and those are the ones that I will hold with for now as they are the most clear. Russia doesn't want the Ukraine. The idea that Putin will be some monster to the Jews is a bit daft considering he has no history of this.
There is a demonisation going on in the British media in particular and the only reason can be because of deflection. They never went after bankers like they are doing Putin, they are following the Iraq model. Britain is one of the most corrupt nations out there and to make Putin the bogeyman, and not David Cameron is perversely funny. Putin has done nothing to the UK and minimised his impact in the Ukraine. The UK is pushing Putin and going along with the Ukraine coup and NO British media is saying that Cameron is the problem.
We have a terrible media and they simply cannot be taken seriously. All of them have been publishing utterly contorted things. I've outlined the facts in a basic way. And the key is that the assassinations were fake and not caused by the government. They simply cannot defend their narrative without a teleprompter.
Russia has committed little wrong here and it is largely a western setup as they need war and lunacy to perpetuate and distract. They are doing a great job and I hope they get humiliated again.
Miles, I think if the US had done what Russia did you would be up in arms. Putin appears to be going back to the old imperialist USSR ideals. That is his core, he never left the USSR.
Are you serious. I don't believe that I am hearing this. Russia has done little wrong in this instance. Please. quit with the nonsense.
I sense I am having to go into a defensive mode because you people are reading papers tell you what to think after a hard days work. It is lies. I'm a little let down that you want to disagree, but I have looked in detail, and I m seldom wrong.
This is the Ukraine! What the fuck are the West doing there!? Pull yourselves together!
If you cannot see who broke the west and how they are trying to deal with it, then you should be sheep
It's too late for me here, but please think properly. We are ordinary people, they are the crazy ones with billions invested in war. Never forget that. Sleep on the topic and lets talk more tomorrow.
Theres more to all this than meets the eye. These groups dont forgive or forget they drag history along with them and wait for an opening. All politicans and world leaders wash their hands after shaking hands, they are two faced cunts the lot of them.
This could easily erupt into an uncivil war like Bosnia and Croatia and backing to each side will occur through the channels being dug in now while they can be.
But for us normal people its is about other innocent normal people who are about to get caught up in a horror and have their lives smashed over others in politics with paid sheep in uniforms and pride in shit covered historical flags all dick waving their forces at each other. I think the innocents need some protection from whats coming and I dont know the answer.
Sometimes i think that some politicians and leaders want their names inbedded into world history and so they look to do that via conflict because they are so useless as human beings personally in the real term. In some cases their countries have built a machine and that machine is built from like minded individuals so it has a certain push to it as well and they personally all become heartless pieces of shit within those war machines.
Power is like electric very nice if controlled, a mass killer of everything it touches if not.
I wish it would sometimes just backfire and kill the controllers of it outright.
I am sorry for being aggressive, Walrus. I stand by what I say, but could have been nicer about it. I got down about it all and got rather drunk. The situations around the world upset me terribly and really I would be better off living in greater ignorance like most do. I get very upset by these stories.
I am just so sick of the Western media brainwashing people when it is obvious that America kick started all of this. I think Putin has behaved very well all things considered. He is clearly doing everything he can to keep WW3 at bay whilst the Western nations have been pumping billions of dollars into destabilising the region.
I am like Andre in that I don't have the answers and just feel a sense of helplessness about what is being done to them. It is always the same groups of people stirring this shit up and they are never held accountable. Country after country and even their own countries, enough is never enough, and I am just sick of it.
I would like the world to leave the Ukraine alone and do them the kindness of erasing their debts and return their gold There should be immediate elections and people should vote for who they want. It shouldn't be any of our business what is going on in the Ukraine.
All I want is a world where we stop posturing and power games and just care more about ordinary people for once. We never care about people in Libya, Iraq, Egypt, Afghanistan, etc. We care only about showing force to people who resist the petrodollar and don't want our debt. I would like us to be isolationist and export only kindness. Grow your own food, feed your people, house your people and leave the world alone as they are sick of you.
when you say " they are sick of you" did you mean me personally or the US or were you speaking generally. Either way I take no offense, just looking for clarity. By the way, be careful with the bottle, it is easy to lose yourself in one or more of them
The ire is directed mostly at the American and British political elite who are mostly vile and contemptible merchants of debt, death and destruction. Congress has an approval rating of 6%, so I don't think I am alone in being sick of them. They gate themselves up and meanwhile bludgeon all with financial and military weapons of mass destruction.
I despise how they worship money and pray at the altar of power. I despise how in the UK they are all manufactured in Eton and get into government and banking and give themselves a leg up whilst conspiring to make their own societies as poor as possible and the world stage as bloody as possible. They are sick and in turn that makes me feel sick.
I don't think they even consider us to to be human. We are like animals on a farm to be mistreated and ultimately culled when they see fit. I don't like to dwell on the topic as it is so inhumane and cold and ultimately leads to despondency and depression. With great contemplation and a beating heart comes a weary brow.
Yes, I will go easy on the drink and I definitely indulged too much. It has been a wasted day, feeling very rough and ever so delicate.
With all due respect Miles you are nothing like Andre. He would never make statements like "I am seldom wrong" or admit disappointment that people disagree with him.
I meant more that I am similar in having no idea what can be done. I cannot control or influence anything.
Miles, what is the current thoughts in South Korea about the US at the DMZ. Do the people want the US to leave or are the grateful we are there. I know some anti US protests kick up from time to time in South Korea but I haven't heard anything lately, I figure you could give me an honest report
I drive out to one of the bases and sometimes check in for a beer. The local traders are fine with the troops as it is steady income for them. Most of the troops are okay too, I've met some interesting people, just a few nutters and you need to be careful late at night. Away from the bases and you will find opinion much more divided. I find it somewhat ironic though. They automatically blame America for every wrong, and yet seem to like the fact I am British. It's odd, because Britain has been in all of these wars too. They have double standards and I guess it is because people are not really following news as closely as they should be. It's like last week and Americans being unable to locate the Ukraine on a map. Ordinary people don't know much about things.
Personally, I would prefer Korea to protect itself now that it is a wealthy country. Every man does military service and they should create their own army. My reasons are because I think a nation should defend itself, and ideally I would like America to stop spending money on this and just focus on improving America for the Americans.
Russia has basically been allowed to get away with supporting seperatists whilst mobilising their army on Ukraine's eastern border to prevent any anti terrorist action by the Ukranian army. They already took the Crimea on the basis of 'protecting Russian', imagine their reaction if the Ukranian army was to match back into Donetsk and retake the city.
WASHINGTON—Putting the nation on alert against what it has described as a “highly credible terrorist threat,” the FBI announced today that it has uncovered a plot by members of al-Qaeda to sit back and enjoy themselves while the United States collapses of its own accord.
Multiple intelligence agencies confirmed that the militant Islamist organization and its numerous affiliates intend to carry out a massive, coordinated plan to stand aside and watch America’s increasingly rapid decline, with terrorist operatives across the globe reportedly mobilizing to take it easy, relax, and savor the spectacle as it unfolds.
“We have intercepted electronic communication indicating that al-Qaeda members are actively plotting to stay out of the way while America as we know it gradually crumbles under the weight of its own self-inflicted debt and disrepair,” FBI Deputy Director Mark F. Giuliano told the assembled press corps. “If this plan succeeds, it will leave behind a nation with a completely dysfunctional economy, collapsing infrastructure, and a catastrophic health crisis afflicting millions across the nation. We want to emphasize that this danger is very real.”
“And unfortunately, based on information we have from intelligence assets on the ground, this plot is already well under way,” he added.
A recently declassified CIA report confirmed that all known al-Qaeda-affiliated organizations—from Pakistan to Yemen, and from Somalia to Algeria—have been instructed to kick back and enjoy the show as the United States’ federal government, energy grid, and industrial sector are rendered impotent by internal dissent, decay, and mismanagement. According to statements made by top-level informants and corroborated by leading Western terrorism experts, if seen through to its conclusion, al-Qaeda’s current plot could wreak far more damage than the events of 9/11.
In the past year, money transfers to al-Qaeda cells around the world have reportedly been accompanied by instructions to use the funds to outfit safe houses with the proper equipment to receive American cable news broadcasts and view top U.S. news websites, allowing terrorists to fully relish each detail of the impending demise of the last global superpower.
Additionally, FBI officials made public an internal al-Qaeda video today in which the terrorist organization’s leader Ayman al-Zawahiri chillingly exhorts his followers to “take a load off” and “unwind” in the name of jihad, and really cherish the victory over their enemy.
“Praise Allah, for soon every American city shall be plagued with disaster and hardship,” al-Zawahiri said in the video, which includes several minutes of footage of young, masked al-Qaeda militants casually sipping beverages as they thumb through the latest issues of Time and U.S. News And World Report. “The infidels have brought this pain and destruction upon themselves through their arrogance and callousness. Soon, the United States will watch in horror as its bridges crumble, its desperate citizens suffer in want of medicine and paying employment, and its once vast riches are reduced to naught. The righteous warriors among our ranks must now unite, get comfortable, and look on from afar at the calamity unfolding in the West.”
“We vow that we will not cease sitting around and laughing it up until America is reduced to rubble,” he continued.
Al-Zawahiri, who is seen in the video reclining back in his chair, putting his feet up, and flipping on CNN, later shouts “Allahu Akbar!” when a story is aired about the decade-long trend of stagnant wages among American workers.
The FBI has also warned that numerous al-Qaeda agents may have established sleeper cells for the purpose of “getting a kick out of” the nation’s downfall on American soil. The bureau urged U.S. residents to use caution around schools, hospitals, legislative bodies, prisons, and other decaying institutions whose imminent failure terrorists may wish to observe up close.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, one high-ranking U.S. counterterrorism official has described the present situation as a massive failure of intelligence.
“The warning signs were there all along, but unfortunately we failed to heed them,” said the official, who advised Americans to brace for widespread devastation. “If we’d listened to experts or even our own common sense, we would’ve realized that this plot was being actively orchestrated within our own borders. But we didn’t, and now every one of our citizens and our very way of life is at risk from this threat.”
“Sadly, al-Qaeda has us right where they want us,” the official added, “and at this point, I fear it is too late to do anything about it.”
Responding to the allegations, a spokesperson for al-Qaeda reportedly confirmed the terror group’s plot and praised the American people as martyrs of the highest order.

I thought this Jewish thing was shown to be a hoax. Like the time there were reports of Iran making Jews wear yellow stars or endless other things involving Jews that turn out to be rubbish.
As far as America plotting to overthrow the Ukrainian government go being a conspiracy theory, remember this?
BBC News - Ukraine crisis: Transcript of leaked Nuland-Pyatt call
It turns out the members of the new Ukrainian government are pretty much exactly how the US wanted it to look. And it's a matter of public record that the US has spent billions of dollars building political opposition to the old pro-Russia Ukrainian government.
It's obviously exactly like the ridiculous notion that Iran's leadership would ever display any antisemitic tendencies. I shall make sure to run everything past yourself and Miles in future and ignore the stupid notion that any individual from Ukraine would ever want to be part of the European union. Everything in your little world seems to be attributable to America, to the point of obsession. Forgive me if I am wrong but you come across as a gullible naieve individual when all you do is repeat the same old stuff, again and again. You just present other people's opinion. What do YOU actually think?
Good point, as I have said I am American, I have been to a few counties and I have noticed some hostility towards the US but in the end they said they liked all the Americans they have come across and there anger is reserved for the Government, not us regular citizens. When I first joined this forum I was surprised at the amount and regularity of anti American posts. Almost like a fixation. it's fine, I believe everyone is entitled to an opinion but I avoid getting fixated on external issues.
I do like the onion, one of the best satirical news organizations I have found. I was thinking of submitting a couple of things but have yet to do it.
PS I don't understand terrorism. I don't like the idea of attacks on soft targets. Go after military or government targets. To intentionally go after civilians with the desire to kill and maim as many as possible is absurd. I know a few people will retort saying I live in a terroristic country. I don't agree with a lot of what our government does and a or of us don't. Killing and intentionally going after the regular population is wrong no matter who does it. Al queda is an evil organization. They are not freedom fighters, they are a bunch of pussies. They deserve a few drone missiles up their assets. maggots.
Funny read ;D
Thats one very funny News thingy, the Onion hahaha ;D

The reason America pumped 5bn dollars into a coup seems to be getting ever more clear. Chevron wants the energy markets and Monsanto wants the agricultural pot. This is typical US foreign policy that goes back a long, long way. It is NEVER about helping the people of a country and is ALWAYS about how can they benefit their elite and them alone. The only reason they 'cared' about the Crimea was a partial loss of future revenues. They only want to make sure the Russians stay out as only everything for the West is acceptable to the West. The Ukrainians wanting out of this takeover are considered a threat, though in reality, they are people who know what the score is and know what's coming. A country should be free and allowed to make its own decisions and this is clearly not the case in the Ukrainian puppet situation and neither is it the case in authoritarian regimes in the West. It is correct that Ukrainians rise up and take back their country from this as this regime is not legitimate. When a country is for the elite alone, elections come first and if that fails, then take it back by force for your people, and not bribes from US elites.
The propaganda in the West has been atrocious and it is no wonder people are so gullible when blatant propaganda is all they consume. Walrus, the last time I looked your elected government was murdering people in Yemen. The terrorists are in full daylight and let's describe them as they really are. Obama should be impeached and then transferred to The Hague. The worlds most visible terrorist in all his bloody glory. A man that sold his nation and slaughtered innocents and lied and smiled his way through it all. He tried in vain to get his war and still he searches.
Any decent person wants him to fail and face justice in an open court of law. Something he seldom grants to others being a snake.
Mles, in your own and Kirklands rush to oversimplify the issues you once again ignore the actions of despotic power crazed individuals to cast everyone else as stupid. Even ignoring Putin's foreign policy you can not seriously be defending the regime of somebody who is little more than a glorified crime lord? A man who installs his own leaders gradually removing dissenting voices and codifying intolerance into law. Then there are his actions abroad, arming fellow nut jobs like Assad whilst simultaneously lecturing the west. You want on one hand to be seen to be supporting the free democratic expression of a populace whilst supporting a man and regime who has a history of crushing and murdering civilians who wish to do so. Yes the west would like to have in place a compliant and corrupt regime that they can manipulate and profit from but Putin's objectives are just the same. In the middle are the civilians of a country and the 'demonic' EU that you and Brockton drone on about turns out to also be equally despised by both sides. You will think what you want to but please a little less preaching and lecturing AT everyone and a little more debate. This is a forum not a row of soap boxes.
Putin did not instigate a coup, Putin isn't trying to put GMO in the Ukraine, Putin is not trying to support Nazi's etc etc. Putin gave the Crimean people a choice and the West has given NO choices as they don't give a hoot about the Ukraine. The West is trying to demonize Putin and you are trying to stir things up each time with 'evidence' that continuously turns out to be a hoax of some kind. That thing about the Jews was a hoax, the government snipers was a Western lie to topple the government. You keep buying into the lies and seem unable to distinguish between these fabrications. I seldom fall for fabrications and assume it to be because I hedge my reading. I am not special and many others do the same, Kirkland clearly does so. I read the propaganda and then I read alternative media such as Zero hedge, The Real News etc, to get a proper sense of perspective.
Syrian government chemical weapons, Iraq WMD etc etc. Always the same, and always proven false, false, false. It doesn't take anyone smart to see through the predictable narrative. And don't bring up millions of immigrants or anything like that, as I didn't say that, but it is true that millions of immigrant flooded the UK and will continue to flood.
The West is desperate and broke, they need these continual misadventures as they have literally nothing left except force and permanent ponzi schemes. The propaganda is so daft and extreme that it makes Iraq look almost sensible. The reasons for it are predictable, to enhance US special interests and whilst it creates attention, to divert attention from expanding tyranny at home and a possible new greater depression as looters, murderers, and liars got off completely free and history will repeat itself.
I am for the people of the Ukraine and wish them well and at the end of the day that is all that anyone wants. They should make up their own minds and lead their own way.
Miles disagreeing with you is not the same as 'trying to stir things up'. You are starting to sound like Putin's patsy press officer. It is quite clear that as well as not reading other people's posts you just formulate a generic idea about other posters and then just use the forum to flounce around spouting second hand rhetoric rather than engaging in debate. It's quite easy for you on the other side of the world to see no problem with the former KGB bother boy because there is little chance of you being crushed under his hob nailed boots. God, sometimes I despair.
I'm not oversimplifying everything. I'm just not going into detail on anything because I don't have the time.
There are people in Ukraine who want the country to be pro-Europe and the way for them to express that is to vote for a suitable party in the next election, not overthrow the democratically elected government because they don't like it.
Russia and the west have been fighting over Ukraine for a long time now. Putin wants to bring it into his version of the EU. America and the west wants to turn the country pro-Europe, get access to its markets but not actually have it join the EU in the forseeable future. That is uncontroversial fact. It's not a version of events, or obsessively anti-American or whatever. It's just what has actually happened.
