After thinking about it a little more, if it isn't for fun purposes, the question in terms of practicality doesn't make much sense. If you get to choose the 3 things beforehand, then obviously you would know that you were on the way to desert island by yourself. I mean, who the hell would really do that.

I can't get into that show cause you know he's just going home to a hotel later on that evening. Maybe its cause I saw Survivorman first where he actually has to stay out in the jungle (or wherever) for a week, at least supposedly on his own. I mean the guy gets so hungry he really seems to enjoy things like baby freshwater shrimp. With Man versus Wild it just takes something away from killing and cooking a rabbit when you know he's going to be eating a steak or something later on that night.

What possible use would my mom be on a desert island? If you are thinking she could be used as someone kind of sailing vessel you may be right but after a couple days in the ocean she'd probably start to get open sores which would attract sharks. Your boat would end up being eaten.
