Well I understand that, but if the guy fought both Klitschko's (win or lose both brothers want to fight him) he would make more money than let's say if Audley sparks him.
The flipside is Haye knocks out Audley makes £15m, and then makes another £10m or so fighting a mandatory, before fighting either Klitschko. I know which one i'd go for if i was Haye.
£15m for Audley? Dream on :D Your theory does make sense though.
Lets say Haye can get £5million for being a 70/30 underdog against a Klit or £2.5million for being a 90/10 favourite against Audley. He loses to a Klit and he's back at the bottom of the pile. A spectacular KO over Audley increases his value for future fights.
What do you choose?
Yeah maybe £15m is a bit excessive. I forgot Sky will take a percentage of the PPV. I reckon it wouldn't be off £5m.

It's a no brainer for Haye imo.

I agree with you about David Haye a lot but I have to correct you here. Let's assume the tickets are £10 each for arguments sake:
20% of 60,000 = £120,000
80% of 20,000 = £160,000.

Who cares if he's the favorite? Let's assume Chicken Little fought and lost to Wlad, say he earned about 7-6 mil for that fight....which opponent would he make more money off of Vitali (who may give him a 80-20 split) or Harrison who may then want something closer to 70-30 or even 60-40 seeing how Chicken Little was coming off a loss. Why would Vitali want to fight Haye after china-chin has beaten him? Haye's stock drops massively the second he loses. The Klits wanted the rematch clauses just in case Haye sparks china-chin.
And the Audley fight would be worth absolute peanuts if Haye was coming off a loss. There'd be no PPV. In fact there'd be no fight because Audley will have gone another route.
What do you mean - "who cares if he's the favourite?" Only a fucking mental patient would choose a tougher fight for the same/less money. Fact.

Where's the Harrison fight contract? Does Chicken Little not have rematch clauses? Is he giving Audley his fair amount of cash, what with being a pathetic local fighter and accepting the fight and following through and all? And I don't want "reports" I want a scanned and notarized copy of it.
....nobody has those details bar the managers (perhaps the fighters), but I am more inclined to believe the people who actively tried to make the match happen rather than those who have called for the match but have never followed through with the actual match.

a 50/50 split against the Lineal Heavyweight Champion of the world is more than a decent offer for Haye, difference is David Haye's a bitch :)
