Re: Pacquiao's Accomplishments aren't really that Great
Accomplishments are pretty amazing to me; I mean hell the guy started out fighting at Grasshopper weight;D He's done his job and seems to get more ferocious each fight; give the man a break. F#ck he made what was supposed to be the best 140 guy look like he was a bumbling Special Olympian jumping hurdles:bucktooth:

Let's look at his "accomplishments"
Hatton- Was never an elite fighter, and past his boxing prime
DeLaHoya-Weight drain and shot
Marquez- Most boxing experts and fans say he lost both fights despite the 4 knockdowns
Morales- Past his boxing prime because of all the wars Erik has been in. He wasn't past his physical prime, but his boxing prime for sure.
Barrera- A shot fighter and past his boxing prime even though he was only 29, been in too many wars.
So for the Fillipino fans and Pacman fans especially the Orientals, please be objective and analyze this. Pacman accomplishments aren't that great. Overrated yes especially in the days of ESPN and Nike.
And no I'm not Mexican or an Pacman "hater".
Overrated????? Pacman will go down as one of the all time greats. you cant be serious?? You wasted that much typing space to tell us that this man's spectacular TKOs over some of the best boxers of our era arent that great? I would pick todays pacman over most past greats in their prime. His physical abilities are incredible and he will continue to amaze.

Elite or not, Hatton was the best 140lb'er around and had been since 2005. What Pacquiao did to him was an impressive feat. What he's going to do to Cotto will be even more impressive.
Re: Pacquiao's Accomplishments aren't really that Great
I always get a kick out of the fact that up until being destroyed by Manny Hatton "Was" eLITE....
aFTER THE mANNY BEATDOW HE SUDDENLY BECOMES A CLUB FIGHTER IN PEOPLES EYES....
Just like,,,,(pre handwrap issue).....Margarito was nothing more then a club fighter til he beat Cotto......
Can't be both ways....
Hatton was elite, he beat big names in the WW and JWW divisions, he was the man at 140 til he lost to Manny....Hatton was in no way a second rate fighter
Re: Pacquiao's Accomplishments aren't really that Great
Sanchez, Julio, Lucero, Barrera 2, Morales 2, Larios, Solis, Marquez, Hatton, DLH.......

I think Ricky Hatton was a very good fighter, but i don't know about elite. Who are these big names he beat ? he only had 1 win at Welterweight a very controversial decision against Luis Collazo.
He beat Kostya Tszyu which was a very good win, but he was for certain on the slide at that time IMO. He beat a very faded Jose Luis Castillo.
And his other wins against Ray Olveria, Freddie Pendleton, Ben Tackie, who were shot fighters or just only decent to begin with like Ben Tackie.
And fighters like Paul Malignaggi who is only known for taking a good beating, off Miguel Cotto had looked garbage in his previous fights before the Ricky Hatton one. And Juan Urango got a gift decision to earn his title.
I give Manny Pacquiao alot of credit but i think calling Ricky Hatton elite, or saying he beat big names is a bit of stretch IMO.
But i agree with what your saying Ricky Hatton certainly wasn't no, 2nd rate fighter or ETC. I just never thought Ricky Hatton was that great to be honest, but thats a debatable opinion.
Re: Pacquiao's Accomplishments aren't really that Great
Ricky Hatton was a good fighter, just not elite. I mean would anyone call Arturo Gatti an elite fighter or just good fighter?
And I have to add that Manny Pacquiao is an 1 dimensional fighter/brawler. These guys gets exposed against elite slick boxers. Think Ali-Liston, Whittaker-Chavez, Leonard-Duran 2, Robinson-Lamotta, Mayweather-Gatti, etc.
It's been proven in boxing history that the all time greatest boxers in this sport are slick boxers, 1 dimensional brawlers ends up getting embarrassed.

Those are the pros but the cons are
Couldnt beat Sanchez
Got knocked out by Torrencampo
Got knocked out by Singursat
Got beaten by a washed up Morales who was coming off a loss to Barrera
Re: Pacquiao's Accomplishments aren't really that Great
Think of it this way. Would you be asking the question if they weren't? And oh by the way, if you look atr his entire body of work and know anything about Asian fighters, you would know that he has beaten many tough guys like Wethya Sakmuangklang, Seung-Kon Chae, Chatchai Sasakul, Chokchai Chockvivat, Reynante Jamili,Jorge Eliecer Julio, Fahsan 3K Battery, and Emmanuel Lucero. And this before his lates run of super wins against future Hall of Famers.
This guy is an ATG!

PAC not only defeating the former champions in the division but beating them badly or by knocking them out. For me it's a very impressive accomplishment.
PAC's lineal titles and division titles:
*RING Light Welterweight (140 lbs.) - LINEAL TITLE, KO'ed Ricky Hatton cold in the 2nd.
*WBC Lightweight (135 lbs.) - KO'ed David Diaz in the 9th.
*RING Super Featherweight (130 lbs.) - LINEAL TITLE, Split decision win over Juan Manuel Marquez.
*RING Featherweight (126 lbs.) - LINEAL TITLE, KO'ed Marco Antonio Barrera in the 11th.
*IBF Super Bantamweight (122 lbs.) - KO'ed Lehlohonolo Ledwaba in the 6th.
*WBC Flyweight (112 lbs.) - LINEAL TITLE, KO'ed Chatchai Sasakul in the 8th.
;D
I agree to you... :) The people who say the Pacquiao is not great is called an "IDIOT" or don't know boxing. ;D
Pacquiao is going for his 7th division title and maybe 5th lineal title. Why? Miguel Cotto just beat Shane Mosley.

Pac was actually winning against SAnchez when the fight was called off. Those who keep on bringing Sanchez should better watch again that fight. Pac was hitting SAnchez with power punches and it would just be a matter of few rounds that Sanchez would go down with the punishment he was getting from Pac. Sanchez was the dirtiest fighter I've seen.
Anyway, no need to mention Sanchez unless you're VD's alt.:-X

Soto F/U his lil bro and Pac never redeemed the family name. Instead he gave a fight opportunity to a lighter weighing Larios. Now, Pac has surpassed Soto in weight and skill to warrant a match today
GREAT GREAT GREAT handling by Cock-Roach. Where does this imply Pac fans are cockroaches? Come out of Pac;s anus for air please ....... This is a stab at Roach!
Pointing out a a valid point does not make me a troll. Responding to a post with information not related to the content justifies how the smegma in your mouth has reached your brain!
addicted to trolling, i guess your addiction to being a troll made you too high it clouded your judgment.
you said pac replaced redemption of family name and avenging bobby pac's loss to soto by avoiding soto and fighting larios instead. tell me: are you, if ever you are in a sound mind, serious at all with this post?!
coz you are completely false. it seems going around in boxing forums like this your only purpose is to troll. based to the chronological sequence of events your post is just too false and makes me wonder if i ever have to take you seriously.
the pac larios fight happened at 2006 while soto beating bobby pac happened at 2007! so to who do pac have to avenge for when he fought larios instead? who did pac avoided and replaced larios for?
this post just proves that you don't know what you're talking about addicted. all you really know is to spew hatred through trolling.
you should change your name from addicted to boxing to addicted to trolling really.
You are partially correct in that i said Larios but actually Pac decided to fight a washed up MAB in a rematch. Same message though, address that !!!! Pac pussed out despite seeing Soto beat the the piss out of his brother Bobby .... looking foward to seeing your excuse !!!
So you saying Soto would beat Pacquiao? If thats he case then well......your an idiot!
