I used flippant language in that prior post because I can. You can highlight it all you want, but I am not writing an essay or trying to impress you with my language. That was the tone I was after and aside from tone the points are all quite valid. I don't think you really made any points in response.
And in regard to Scrap, he is entitled to say what he likes. Lots of others are complicit, I have always said that.

I find this thread interesting because I see it conflicting with my freedom of speech ethos. One thing I don't believe should be allowed is for people to say things which cannot be supported in any meaningful way. It is slander. Take this following story for instance...

What you have here is a man who has chosen to sell his story to the nastiest tabloid rather than keep it quiet and go to the authorities in a mature manner. The tabloids do this all of the time and all too frequently end up having to pay out in damages, but clearly in this case Jimmy Savile is fair game for all of them.
It is for these kinds of reasons that I have a hard time trusting the one sided stories that are becoming all too common. What next, eh? I am all for opinions, but what I am not for is unsubstantiated and blatant slander.
It wouldn't be happening like this if the man were alive.
Then of course there is Freddie Starr who is being put through the grinder on the back of that 'documentary'. You can't just accuse people and say they are guilty based on circumstantial evidence. There are two sides to every story and all of this is horribly one sided. The British tabloid media is appalling.

I am not saying they are all lies, but unlike you I am going to remain skeptical until officially investigated. You cannot just make accusations without having something to back it up.
I have repeated numerous times that I think Savile broke the law, but I really have a hard time believing each and every one of these cases. Evidence first and weed out the rot. If you are going to arrest every man who has sex with a 15 year old then you will be locking up millions.
