People in here are taking it all in and believing it. He's fucking around and taking the piss out of himself as much as anything else. He doesn't take himself seriously.

Dunno, last I saw of Fury all I remember is fury getting dropped hard by a cruiserweight just looking for a pay day.
I didn't know we had to discount all of an athlete's prior achievements and performances after a bad one, cheers for clearing that up.
You seem to let a fighter's personality skewer your view of things, you revently did it with Carl Froch because you think he's a dick and you're doing it with David Haye, because you think he's a dick too.
Whether he's a dick or not doesn't change the fact that he is on another level to Fury.
I think Froch is a dick but its undeniable hes fought better names than Haye has. Haye gets my goat because he talks a good game but hasnt really done a great deal. Hes had 27 or 28 fights but been a pro for 11 years. The fights he had before Wlad, even including the cruiser fights, people in here have already pointed out the best, most dangerous fighter he has beaten is Valuev... Who most felt lost to 47 year old Holyfield;D
There have been plenty of opportunities for Haye to fight genuine contenders to deserve a shot at the title, like Adamek, Arreola, Johnson, Thomson, Solis etc. He has and is constantly is trying the easiest route to a big title shot and its a business and I cant blame him for that but its the attitude that he has done something special along the way that irritates me. Yeah Fury can be dopey and a helmet but he is fighting consistantly and trying to fight ranked fighters. Even Cunningham admitted in the lead up that he was the only fighter who wanted Fury because everyone else doesnt want to face his size and his awkwardness.
He isnt going down the Harrison route like Haye and Price. He fought Chisora when Chisora mattered, even Wlad wanted Chisora as an opponent back then but he pulled out and Fury offered him a fight.
Fury makes me laugh with his ridiculousness, Haye sounds similar but there is a constant undertone of arrogance with Haye, whereas Fury will go on the internet for the whole world to see and take the piss out of himself and his traveler roots wanting to buy caravans and dogs and how its a shame, hes a fat, out of shape, chinny, light punching fighter etc.
I'm thinking that Chisora probably mattered more after giving Vitali one of his toughest fights since Lennox Lewis than when he showed up unconditioned and uninterested against Fury... ;)
Fury is highly amusing, I will give you that.
So being Undisputed Cruiserweight World Champion and winning a World Heavyweight Title amout to "not doing much", but Tyson Fury has lit the Heavyweight division up? Get a grip, the man hasn't fought a live body other than Cunningham and Chisora. If you could see through the bullshit, you'd see that Hennessy is making him avoid punchers because they are fully aware he has no chin and will get sparked. Both John Ruiz & Nikolai Valuev are both more accomplished fighters than anyone Tyson Fury has faced. You also criticised his Cruiserweight opponents, but at the time, Maccarinelli was a long time Champion and the British public begged him to take that fight, and Mormeck was the consensus #1 in the division when Haye flattened him.
Haye talks a good game. You say he goes for the easiest route but I disagree. He goes for the most financially viable route which is what any of us would do. Haye is in it for the money, not for the love of the sport but if you can get past this idea you'd see he is undeniably one of the most skilled Heavyweight fighters around.
You're right, Tyson takes the best challenges at his doorstep. Like for example, when hard punching David Price was his mandatory, he gave up his belts to fight sure fire hall of famer, the world class 40 year old Martin Rogan.
Tyson also recently stepped aside from the dangerous Pulev. If he doesn't get the Haye fight, he recently mentioned top class fighter Fres Oquendo as a possible opponent.
Chisora was not in shape for that fight and couldn't have made it easier for Tyson. Saying Chisora didn't matter when Haye fought him is utter bullshit. Chisora gave Vitali a tough fight and took him 12. He also proved he was iron chinned, not budging from Fury, Helenius or Vitali's punches and yet Haye brutally finished him.
Haye is what he is. He learnt a long time ago that if you chat shit, it sells. The reason he wants to fight Fury is he knows he has found another motormouth who can help him make a boat load of money. The reason he was going to fight Charr is because Charr started copying his tactics. He fought Harrison because Sky offered him a boatload of money and sold the fight for him. It is all about smart business decisions and to be fair, it has made him a rich man. Fury is the one who chatters on about everyone without actually proving anything.
Tyson Fury took on Chisora, he cannot be blamed if Del Boy comes in unconditioned. Fury signed up to fight an undefeated and dangerous fighter at the time.
Fuck me this is funny - Novice Chisora was more dangerous/bigtime in his 15th fight because he was undefeated?
He didn't improve with experience (which is the norm), or enhance his reputation against Vitali and Helinus (apart from the fact he learnt to actually train), because he'd already been ruined by Fury.
(what a pair of plums ;D)
He could well be until they fight, no one knows but to whoever it was that asked what has Fury done to deserve a title shot, has Haye done any more since his last shot? No, I dont think so.
Pulev would have been an excellent fight and a dangerous one. He's not a massive puncher but he's sharp and moves well. In fact Haye and Fury is the biggest winnable fight out there for either.
Don't dismiss Fury strength and awkwardness because Chisora was bullying Haye and making him stumble and Chisora is no bigger a puncher than Fury and Fury wont have to be as close to land his shots.
He has sell powers and like it or not that gets you title shots!
The fact is that more people would rather watch Haye than fury.
The additional fact that Hayes the much better fighter is just a bonus for him and British boxing, because if fury was our best HW we would be fucked.
