sanders was a part time fighter. he may have had the talent but not the skills. brewster was terrible. he was a bum and there is no denying that.
thats why i say that i voted for 16-25 because of his accomplishments. if it were based solely on a who beats who, then he would be ranked lower. there is no denying what he has done, and he has no control over his era, but he has looked great fighting bums and has looked sloppy against people who werent total bums.
Have any other heavyweight champions had to fight a Southpaw as dangerous as Sanders?
Lemon Brewster was very good, if you think he's a bum then your standards are outrageously high.

1. Ali
2. Louis
3. Jack Johnson
4. Larry Holmes
5. Mike Tyson
6. Lennox Lewis
7. Evander Holyfield
8. Jack Dempsey
9. VITALI Klitchsko
10. Wladimir Klitschko
I always have and always will place Vitali over Wladimir. That's just me. I sincerely believe that in the respective guys prime, all of them, would beat Wladimir- from Ali to Tyson to his own brother.

This is so damn subjective.... depends on the criteria you use. The opening post did say "based on what he's done so far". So if you're talking purely about numbers, it's hard not to rank Wladimir either in, or near the top 5. But is that a good criteria?
If you're gonna rank all-time HW's, I'd make sure to use some of these other criteria:
- How much they did for the sport
- Level of opposition
- Excitement for the fans
- Longevity
- Dominance
On "level of opposition" and "fan excitement", Wlad falls way way down. How much has he done for the sport? Depends who you ask, I guess. Globally, he's probably done a lot of good, as people were probably ready for a dominant HW who wasn't American. But then, that very fact seems to have drained some of the interest out of the U.S. Sad, but true.
Taking everything into consideration, and if forced to make a choice, I'd probably rank Wlad just inside the top 10, or just outside of it. Somewhere between 8 and 12.

Wladimir won every minute of every round against Puritty, until he ran out of gas. He was trying too hard for the KO, trying to impress his family and friends, fighting for the first time in his hometown of Kiev, UA.

Wlad was also dominating Brewster, until once again, he tried too hard to KO him and ran out of gas. Sanders he underestimated, at that time he was becoming bored with fighting fringe contenders and wanted a crack at Lennox Lewis.

Chambers was doing well but still just too small and didnt move his head much. He let his hands go and landed and at times made Wlad look silly. Chambers made Wlad look prime for the picking for soeone like Ali or Tyson who would give so much movement and more than one punch at a time. Holyfield would get in there and work but hes not hard to hit and watching the Lewis and Foreman fights he just wouldnt be powerfull enough to keep Wlad away.

Prime Tyson would've given prime Wlad HEAPS of trouble. No doubt about that. People point to the Douglas fight... but prime Tyson could take a punch and he was always forcing his way in. He would willingly take a couple of punches just so he could get inside and throw his murderous straight shots and hooks. Wlad has always used his long arms to keep his opponents away from his chin. Tyson would've brushed off those attempts and gotten inside Wlad's guard. Once inside all it would take would be one punch.

and if you think that brewster was a solid HW then your standards are outrageously low.
after the wlad fight he should have lost to kali meehan which would have easily been the worst fighter to have ever hold a HW title. he was worthless. brewster just got lucky the judges gave him that fight. then he got beat handily beat liakovick. and dont forget that before the wlad fight, he fought all no name fighters except clifford etienne who was an up and coming fighting and he beat brewster. we found out soon after that etienne was worthless too. so no, brewster was not a solid HW. he was terrible.

Only Marciano NEVER lost and to be honest to lose the way Wlad did and not just keep fighting but to become the BEST in the division hands down, it just makes it all the more impressive.
