*I'm finally ready to do it... ::deep breath::*

Ok, so I think I'm finally ready to admit a few things that need to be said.

1)I have been an avid PBF basher for since his move from 130. I have said how I think his lack of engaging makes for boring although technically fantastic fights. That doesn't make um easier on the eyes, though.

Feeewww... OK, here we go.

After the Hatton fight I thing we have all seen a Floyd we have not seen in a long time and we were treated to as exciting a fight as it was technically sound. Thank you Ricky for bringing out the best in Floyd.
Can't wait to see what the future holds for Ricky either. He is a great champion.

So I'm finally ready to give Floys his due.

2)We all know that I'm a huge Manfredo fan (ok... stop laughing)

I'm finally ready to admitt that he is a C level fighter who just doesn't have the mental chops to fight on a world level. Do I think he has the ability? Yes. But until he breaks through that wall C level is going to be as far as he is gonna get. Do I think he can hold a major strap? Yes but not at 168. He looks tired and lathargic after 3 or 4 rounds. His body looks soft. Not at 160. He fought best at 154. I don't care what he says. 154 is where he belongs.

3)Calzaghe is going to own Hopkins. I'm saying it now. Yes I'm from the US and love Bernard but Joe will be to much for him. End of story.

4)Kelly Pavlik will end the rematch sooner this time. KO5

5)Klitscho will destroy Ibragimov with his jab. You need to get through that to get to Wladimir. He won't.

Sorry but im massive Mayweather fan but i didn't think Hatton vs Mayweather was exciting at all, it was mostly a clinchfest Mayweather vs Chavez was about 10x better than Hatton vs Mayweather, plus Mayweather has had much better offensive fights than that Hatton one.

See people are underestimating Hopkins, One thing you must realize is that Calzaghe isn't just going to go in there and out work him, Hopkins is a great technical fighter and one of the smartest fighters in boxing, he can offset Calzaghe's rhythm with clinches etc, and he can also slow him down. Calzaghe has struggled in rough tough fights with Bika, Salem, Reid, now people might say he fights to the level of his opposition, which some of that is true, but its also to do with Calzaghe losing concentration easily, overall i see Calzaghe winning a close decision but it won't be easy by any means.

I think Taylor will be much more cautious in the rematch, but Kelly Pavlik's longer jab will force Taylor to fight, i don't think it will be as good as there 1st fight but i see Pavlik winning between 8 or 9 rounds.

On Floyd

I think you are absolutly right. I stated that this was the most exciting fight since he vacated 130. Not of his carreer. You have to agree with that.

On Calzaghe Hopkins

I don't think it will be easy but I do think it will not be as close. I think that Bhop will slow him down signifigantly and drop the tempo of the fight but I do think that Calzaghe's workrate will win the day.

On Pavlik Taylor

I really have to say that these 3 were very exciting but we haven't seen him in an exiting fight in a while prior to hatton.

Until Mayweather faces somebody who is a threat than I'll become a PBF fan. I admire his skills but for the past number of years he has handpicked opponents that are not high caliber besides being world champions, bring on Cotto or Williams but no he's too scared :eek:.

No mate you will never find me saying Hatton has an off night against Collazo, I give it to him by 2 points but I admit he looked hopeless at welter.

I was picking Hatton to win as I'm sure you would pick PBF over Cotto or Williams as he's my favourite fighter but looking back in hindsight Hatton had virtually no chance with his style against PBF's and PBF IS ducking the other welters FACT, at least Hatton's not scared to lose his "0".

i think the hype of the fight is what made it exciting.
All the crap from PBF and hatton during the fight made me Yawn (damnit wheres my smileys)

When i mentioned Collazo fight im pretty sure your the one who said Hatton had an off night vs Collazo with making weight etc, i would pick Mayweather over Cotto and Williams because he is the better fighter. Not just because Mayweather is one of my favorite fighters, see now Hatton has lost you say he had no chance but thats not what you was saying before the fight, and if Hatton would of won you wouldn't be saying that either, and its opinion that Mayweather is ducking Williams, Cotto, not a fact, just like Hatton is ducking Witter is an opinion not a fact ;)

Is not a fact Hatton is ducking Witter because Hatton has said one day he could fight Witter he does not rule it out.

I said Hatton had 5 weeks or something to prepare for the Collazo fight and for him to do that on his first trip to welter and beat Collazo and knock him down is damm good considering Floyd needed a trial at the weight which included a shot Sharmba Mitchell, pointless fight that was ;)

And I always thought Hatton could beat PBF but ask Ono, I sent him a PM saying I feel PBF could win or something along the lines of that so I was not 100% adamant Hatton would win as that would be stupid considering he is fighting Floyd Mayweather, going to HIS preffered weight and HIS backyard.


BTW Floyd in many people's eyes is ducking Cotto and Williams and for some reason everyone is round Hatton like flies on shite talking about him ducking Witter and Floyd goes for the money route in a part time fighter in De La Hoya next and nobody mentions nothing about fighting somebody who would give him problems and don't say ODLH will give him problems in the second fight as even you said he won the first by 3 rounds so why is Floyd taking a rematch. :rolleyes: Looking for the easy option if you ask me to avoid Cotto and Williams who he's scared of ;)

If you were Hatton after a crushing KO loss would you take on Witter ATM who is full of confidence and has an awkward style ?? I doubt it.

Hatton needs a couple of fights to build his confidence up before he owns Witter's ass like he has done to everybody else at 140!!! :cool:

Golly gee, when I read the title of this thread I was expecting Pride to announce his "coming out of the closet" celebration. Guess it's a little premature yet.

Anyhoo; I couldn't see how anyone wouldn't see the greatness in Floyd in the 1st place. Guys beat everyone put in front of him, and most with an ease that is almost absurd in its effortlessness. :pMy only complaint is this b.s. rematch with Oscar; as he should be fighting Cotto if he wants to claim best 147 around; or even PW, as he is a major threat.

As far as Hopkins/Calzaghe goes, I would be shocked to see Joe run circles around Hop. Hopkins has been there done that and Hop will be up for this fight like no other; especially since there is that "clash of countries" thing and he won't want to be beat much less embarassed by a "foreigner"{a white one at that}lol. Expect a war inside to say the least.
